Following its announcement last month, Hero MotoCorp has hiked the prices of its entire portfolio from July onwards. The Indian two-wheeler giant had mentioned that the rising prices are a result of the increasing commodity costs, however, the brand’s cost-saving programme will ensure a minimum impact on customers.

The Hero Xtreme 200S has received the biggest hike of Rs 3,800, while most other motorcycles have received a nominal hike, even as low as Rs 400. However, the brand’s popular 125cc bike, the Glamour, now costs up to Rs 80,000 and it’s certainly hard to justify the price tag, especially with the likes of the Honda SP125 in the market. Hero scooters have now become pricier by up to Rs 1,560. None of the scooters from the lineup has received a substantial hike, with the price of the top Pleasure Plus model going up by just Rs 850.
