The 2025 version will also feature the iconic Candy Red colour scheme which was offered with the original Hero Splendor from the early 2000s

Quick Highlights

  • The 2025 Hero Splendor Plus has been spotted

  • Gets a 240mm disc brake at the front

  • Also gets a new colour scheme

The upcoming 2025 Hero Splendor Plus has been spotted, it gets a  couple of important upgrades. The 2025 Hero Splendor Plus spied here features a front disc which could be about 240mm. It would be the same one that the Hero Splendor Plus XTEC Disc variant gets.

While drum brakes had decent stopping power, the addition of the disc brake will make the Splendor a tad bit more modern. However, Hero doesn’t seem to have forgotten about Splendor’s early days, and has brought back the Candy Red colour scheme. It seems quite flashy and bold on the Splendor. Another addition is the Matt Axis Grey colour scheme which gives it a premium look with a subtle shade.

Other than the changes,  the bike seems to be unchanged. It is still powered by the same 97.2cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine which outputs 8.02PS and 8.05Nm; though the engine should be OBD2B-compliant when it launches. The bike is built on a single-cradle frame and is suspended on a telescopic fork and twin shock absorber setup.

The Splendor Plus is currently offered in 3 different variants, here’s a detailed breakdown of their prices.

Hero Splendor Plus Variant

Price (ex-showroom Delhi)

Splendor Plus Drum Brake

Rs 77,176

Splendor Plus i3S Drum Brake & i3S Drum Brake Black & Accent

Rs 78,426

Splendor Plus i3S Matte Axis Grey

Rs 79,926

We expect the new disc variant of the Splendor Plus to be priced around Rs 80,000. This will make it the top-of-the-line Splendor Plus variant. Over the years the Hero Splendor Plus has remained rather unchanged and is priced a bit too high when compared to its rivals. For perspective, the TVS Radeon, which is a 110cc commuter, is priced from Rs 59,880 (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Bajaj Platina 100, which is more of a direct rival, is priced from Rs 68,890 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It also offers better suspension with the spring-in-spring twin rear shock absorbers. But where the Splendor Plus shines is in its long track record of reliable performance.
