Suzuki has finally launched the e-Access electric scooter in India at a surprising price of Rs 1,88,490 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings are now open across all authorised Suzuki dealerships in the country. Here’s everything you need to know about the new e-scooter.

The e-Access features typical Japanese scooter styling, giving it a familiar and slightly conventional look. It has sharp design lines, a neatly styled headlamp, and a sleek tail section with integrated indicators. The scooter is available in four colour options: Metallic Mat Black/Metallic Mat Bordeaux Red, Pearl Grace White/Metallic Mat Fibroin Grey, Pearl Jade Green/Metallic Mat Fibroin Grey, and Metallic Mat Stellar Blue/Metallic Mat Fibroin Grey.

It comes equipped with a fixed 3.072kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery pack, which is claimed to offer nearly four times longer life than conventional Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) batteries. This battery powers a 4.1kW electric motor that produces 15Nm. The e-Access offers three riding modes: Eco, Ride A, and Ride B, along with a reverse mode. In Eco mode, the top speed is limited to 55kmph, while in the other two modes it can reach up to 71kmph. The scooter takes 6 hours and 20 minutes for a full charge using a standard charger and delivers a claimed range of 95km. With Suzuki’s fast charger, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 1 hour and 12 minutes.

Under the skin, the Suzuki e-Access uses a steel tube frame paired with conventional telescopic front forks and a rear monoshock. It runs on 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends, with a 90-section front tyre and a 100-section rear tyre. Braking duties are handled by a front disc and a rear drum brake. With a kerb weight of 122kg, it is around 20kg heavier than the petrol-powered Suzuki Access 125.

In terms of features, the Suzuki e-Access comes with full LED lighting and a 4.2-inch TFT console, similar to the one seen on the Access 125. It supports smartphone connectivity and offers turn-by-turn navigation, SMS and call alerts, music controls, and weather updates. The display also shows daily energy consumption, ride analytics, and the last parked location. It gets a 17-litre underseat storage, and keyless entry which increases convenience.
Suzuki is clearly late to the electric two-wheeler party in India, and the e-Access marks the brand’s first attempt at entering this space at a relatively premium price point. At Rs 1.88 lakh, the e-Access offers noticeably lower range, performance, and features compared to several rivals that cost nearly half as much. While Suzuki’s strong brand value, build quality, and reliability may appeal to loyal customers, the pricing makes it a tough sell in a segment that is already crowded with more value-driven electric scooters.
