We recently road tested the TVS iQube, a family-oriented electric scooter for India. There are a lot of things which make the TVS iQube a go-to option but some aspects are better than the others.

Being an electric scooter, the TVS iQube performs quite well. The acceleration is quick but not frantic. The linear power delivery comes out as one of its main highlights. This will surely be appreciated by those who are considering the TVS iQube as a scooter for their family. That said, the iQube is not short on performance, it gets 2 ride modes: Eco and Power. We got our hands on the 5.1kWh variant which is capable of hitting a top speed of 82kmph.

The TVS iQube is available in two battery pack options - 3.4kWh and 5.1kWh. Both the variants have a 4.1kW motor. The larger battery pack has a claimed range of 150km in Eco mode and 100km in Power mode. While we were not able to perform a real-world range test, the range shown on the display is quite accurate in the real world. . It’s still fairly enough for everyday urban riding for most families..

The TVS iQube has an upright riding posture with its perfectly positioned handlebar and spacious footboard area. The seat is well-padded which makes urban commutes comfortable. The seat is also spacious which allows the pillion to sit comfortably as well.

The TVS iQube gets a 7-inch TFT display which shows all the necessary information. The layout is clean and easy to understand and the screen is also very much visible in all lighting conditions. It also gets an analogue layout which some may prefer. . However, there’s one annoying bit about this layout. When the scooter goes into regen after releasing the throttle/braking at any speed, the speedometer needle instantly goes to 0kmph, despite the scooter decelerating gradually. This makes it a bit frustrating. This is not the case in the digital layout, where the indicated speed is correlated to the deceleration.

One of the best highlights about the TVS iQube is its large 32-litre underseat storage. This increases its practicality factor by a huge margin as it can accommodate all your groceries and other extras with ease. Although the space is more than enough for a half-face helmet, full-size premium helmets still won’t fit in this boot.
These are the 5 things that stood out for us during the TVS iQube review. However there’s a lot more that this family e-scooter does, which we have explained in its full story
