The Pulsar update will kick off the 25th anniversary celebrations of the brand with the new-gen ‘Classic’ Pulsar 125 and Pulsar 150 to follow soon

Bajaj is all set to kick-start its 25th anniversary celebrations of India’s most prolific performance motorcycling brand: the Pulsar. And while the recent sightings of the next-gen Pulsar 125 have cropped up on the internet, Bajaj will be riding out a 4-valve update of the highly popular Pulsar N160 first.

The Obvious Hints

The thinly-veiled teaser shared by the brand gives us a lot of hints that the bike arriving in hardly a week’s time is the N160 4V and not the updated classic 125. The wheels, wider tyres and belly pan are a dead giveaway. The headlight cluster is more in line with the N series of Pulsars, too, with its projector beam flanked by two LED DRLs. Then there’s the pillion footrest hangers that are subframe mounted and not integrated into one piece with the rider’s.

More importantly, the engine casing is quite a bit different. Even the routing of the underbelly exhaust (another dead giveaway) starts centrally and not slightly from the left side of the bike. And lastly, the chassis between the two are not alike. These changes were further confirmed with the latest camouflaged image that has popped up on the internet, suggesting the Pulsar N160 4V is due to arrive sooner than the others.

What Else Could Be New?

Besides the performance upgrades that the 4-valve head will provide, Bajaj is also going to take this opportunity to spruce up the Pulsar’s feature set. Hence, a new cluster, highly likely a TFT one, will be employed on the bike. This should come with the necessary smartphone connectivity module as well as ABS modes for extra kicks.

When Are The Classic Pulsars Incoming?

The dispatching of the next-gen Pulsar 125 has already begun. So, expect the launch of the same to take place by the end of the month. Simultaneously, Bajaj will also provide the same updates to the Pulsar 150 and hence, these are likely to be launched together as part of the anniversary celebrations.
