Latest Updates on Himalayan 750

The Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 has been spotted testing yet again, and this time, the images are by far the clearest ones. The road-biased variant was spotted, complete with alloy wheels at both ends, likely a 19-17-inch front/rear combo.

Key aspects that we can observe include an adjustable Showa fork, linked monoshock, Husvarna Norden 901-like bodywork that also somehow looks the part of a beefier Himalayan, upright riding stance, and plenty of ground clearance with a high-set side-slung 2-1 exhaust. The chassis is of course, all-new, with a fixed subframe that should be able to handle much better loads when it comes to luggage options.

The powerplant is likely to be a heavily modified, bored-out version of the 650 twin, likely producing around 55PS and 60Nm. The bike gets Bybre rotors with twin discs up front and a disc at the rear. We’re sure Royal Enfield will offer switchable ABS, hopefully with cornering functionality. Other electronic goodies expected include a ride-by-wire throttle with multiple riding modes, cruise control, and traction control.

We can also expect another trail-friendly variant with spoke wheels as we’d already seen test mules of the same before.

The Himalayan 750 will sit above the existing Himalayan 450, offering a more road-focused setup. Sure, there might be a spoke wheel variant, but it is unlikely to be as hardcore as the Himalayan 450, especially considering how heavy it will be. That said, it will be more of a powerful mile-munching big-bike that can also take on broken roads.

It is expected to cost around Rs 4.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and will go against the likes of Kawasaki Versys 650, BMW F 450 GS, and the upcoming Norton Atlas in India.

The new platform is also set to spawn other models, with a Continental GT 750 already spotted testing.
