Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Unveil Likely At EICMA 2025, New Details Revealed

A lot of flavourful tea on the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 has been spilt recently. According to a publication, the bike is reportedly in the final stages of development and edging closer to production. We expect the motorcycle to debut at the 2025 EICMA show, which will take place in November.

More Power Baby

While the brand hasn’t explicitly confirmed it, the new model will be powered by a heavily reworked version of the current 650cc parallel-twin engine used in the Interceptor 650 and Super Meteor. This new motor will reportedly have a revised bore and stroke, and will be more powerful than the 650. Expect the Himalayan 750 to make around 55PS and 60Nm.

The Himalayan is no stranger to a bigger engine as Royal Enfield had unveiled an 850cc Himalayan concept - a year ago at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed. It’s no surprise that the brand feels customers crave for a bigger Himalayan.

Ready For Production

The fact that the bike is already being tested and teased officially a few months back in the Himalayas that too with the top honchos riding, means it’s well past the early prototype stage.

Will Stand Alongside The Himalayan 450

The Himalayan 750 will reportedly sit alongside the existing Himalayan 450 and not replace it. The new bike will be more road-oriented, thanks to a gruntier engine, a 19/17-inch spoke wheel setup, and dual front disc brakes. This makes a lot of sense as the parallel-twin platform is inherently heavy, so a hardcore off-road themed ADV will be a tough ask. Royal Enfield reportedly has no immediate plans to change the single-cylinder 450, with Lead Designer Steve Everitt confirming that the two models will target different kinds of riders.

Importantly, this will be Royal Enfield’s first bike in the A1 licence category (in the European markets), making it more accessible to younger and newer riders in certain markets looking to upgrade from their A2 category bikes.

An Affordable Big Bike

Another key point is affordability. By having an air/oil-cooled engine instead of switching to liquid cooling like most rivals in the 700-900cc adventure class, Royal Enfield can keep the Himalayan 750 cheaper to buy and easier to maintain. This could make it an appealing option for riders who want a big-bore ADV without the high running costs, as labour is very expensive in developed countries. Hence most riders prefer to work on their bike themselves, and this engine construction should be easy to tinker with.

Coming Soon

After the global debut at the 2025 EICMA show, an India launch could follow soon after, possibly in early-mid 2026. Expect an ex-showroom price of around Rs 4.5 lakh. It’ll be the most powerful Royal Enfield bike in India, and will also be the first truly made-in-India 750cc bike.

Royal Enfield is also developing other models on this new 750 platform as test mules of a Continental GT 750 have already been spotted. So yes, more bikes are on their way, and things are only going to get even more exciting!
