The updated Tiago gets a more modern face with redesigned LED headlamps featuring eyebrow-style LED DRLs. Tata has also added a new gloss-black strip that connects the headlamps across the grille, giving the hatchback a wider and sportier look. Even the bumper gets a sharper design now.

The Tiago EV, however, gets a more comprehensive visual makeover. Up front, it now features a closed-off body-coloured grille, slimmer LED headlamps and cleaner styling elements that make it look more like an electric vehicle than just a petrol hatch with a battery pack.

In profile, the ICE comes with new 15-inch alloy wheels and EV version with 14-inch steel wheels with wheel covers going with aerodynamic-focused wheels that give it a more futuristic appeal. You continue to get gloss block finish on the pillars and ORVMs, and the EV version also comes with EV badging on the front door.
At the rear, both versions look nearly identical. With the facelift, you now get revised LED tail lamps connected by a faux red strip, giving it a connected taillamp effect. Similar to the front, you get a revised bumper with a cleaner look. The electric version comes with Tiago.EV lettering to distinguish itself from the ICE counterpart.
Overall, while the ICE Tiago looks fresher and more mature, the Tiago EV now feels much more modern and EV-specific in its design execution.
Step inside and the changes become even more apparent. Tata has completely refreshed the dashboard layout with a cleaner and more premium-looking design finished in a dual-tone black-and-grey theme. The cabin now feels far more modern than before.
The biggest highlight across both ICE and EV versions is the new 10.25-inch free-floating touchscreen infotainment system, paired with a digital driver’s display. The Tiago EV takes things a step further by offering a new two-spoke steering wheel with illuminated Tata.ev branding. The ICE verison gets the familiar illuminated steering wheel that we have seen on new Tata cars.
The updates don’t end here. You also get revised rectangular AC vents, newer and better trims and finishes and a cleaner centre console layout, which further improves the overall premium feel. Moreover, the upholstery and textures have also been improved for a more comfortable experience.
Rear occupants are going to feel more comfortable now with the addition of rear AC vents. Furthermore, the facelift versions retain physical controls for AC buttons, which is always a positive thing.
The EV version also comes with EV-specific graphics in the infotainment system. Being an EV, its lower centre console remains clutter-free, and looks a bit cleaner than the ICE version.
The takeaway here is simple: Tata is making its entry-level hatch feel like it belongs to a segment above. It looks like one of the most upmarket hatchbacks in the segment now.
Feature additions are one of the biggest highlights of this update. Tata has taken this facelift seriously and given it all the bells and whistles that you would expect, not only at this price segment, but also one above.
Both hatchbacks now come equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a digital instrument cluster, wireless charging pad, rear AC vents and Type-C charging ports.
Other premium touches include automatic climate control, connected car tech, automatic headlamps, and cruise control. It also gets a premium 4 - speaker sound system.
On the safety front, Tata is now offering a 360-degree camera, which is definitely not a common feature in the segment. Other features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system and rear parking sensors.
Mechanically, the Tiago facelift remains unchanged. It continues with the familiar 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, along with a factory-fitted CNG option.

Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT (with paddle shifters) transmission with both fuel options. Here’s a detailed look at the specifications:

The Tiago facelift continues to rival hatchbacks such as the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Citroen C3, and even Maruti Suzuki Celerio and Wagon R.
Meanwhile, the Tiago EV facelift competes with affordable electric cars like the MG Comet EV and Citroen eC3. It can also be considered as a hatchback alternative to the likes of Tata Tigor EV and Punch EV.
With this update, Tata Motors has given the Tiago lineup a much-needed refresh. The exterior changes make both hatchbacks look more modern, but it’s the cabin and feature additions that truly transform the experience.
The addition of new screens, new textures, convenience features and a 360-degree camera makes the Tiago feel far more premium than what buyers usually expect in this segment. Tata has essentially pushed premium hatchback features into the affordable hatchback category.
The Tiago EV’s makeover feels even more significant. The updated design, connected lighting elements and EV-specific styling finally give it a stronger identity of its own.
Both these hatchbacks have pushed boundaries, and will hope to give their arch-rivals a run for their money. The Tiago now feels like a mini-Altroz, considering the premiumness quotient and features. Its desirability quotient has gone up considerably, and budget buyers now have a hatchback that they probably can’t ignore.
