We won't suggest you to go for after-market installation as it will hamper your car's performance ant the warranty will also get terminated. Although, it is always recommended to get the CNG kit fitted from the authorized service center so that you can avail the warranty services as well. If you get it installed from some other sources, then it may hamper your warranty. On the other hand, please make sure that the CNG kit that you are installing is RTO approved to avoid future troublesome. We suggest you to get in touch with the authorized service center to know the nitty-gritty of the fittings as they will be the best people to suggest you the compatible CNG kit for your car.

  • Q. Ford figo is better or ford freestyle in petrol? Please elaborate reasons of your answer.
    Zigwheels
    Zigwheels | 1 year ago

Ford Freestyle engine: Based on the upcoming Figo facelift, the Ford Freestyle can be had with two engines - a 1.2-litre petrol (96PS/120Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel motor (100PS/215Nm). Both engines are mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Sadly, it doesn’t get an automatic transmission just yet. Between the two, it’s the petrol engine that feels punchy and smooth. Should you buy the Freestyle instead of the Figo? Yes. The Figo is beginning to show its age. The Freestyle does address that issue to a fair extent by adding some zing as well as practicality. Yes, the interior quality could’ve been better, and it isn’t any better in the space department either. The real big miss in our books is the lack of an automatic variant and the persistent quality issues carried over from the Figo and the Aspire.

  • Q. Is it worth buying Freestyle? If it is, for short distance coverage daily is it worth buying diesel car? If petrol car is suggested then choosing among Titanium, Ambiente and Trend is a problem?

The raised ground clearance, the punchy new petrol engine, the slick-shifting gearbox and the amount of safety tech that is on offer. The diesel engine, on the other hand, continues to be as capable and potent as before. The only downside of the Freestyle is the lack of an automatic option at a time when every other carmaker is offering AMTs and CVTs. If you are traveling less than 50-60km a day, opt for a petrol car instead of a diesel. With the extra Rs 1-1.50 lakh spent on a diesel purchase, you can actually drive a similar petrol car for as many as two years! So, do your math carefully. A diesel usually makes sense if you are driving above 60/70km a day. Also, we would suggest you to look for Titanium Variant. In fact, even if you consider the total add-ons you get over the base Ambiente variant for a sum of around Rs 1.3 lakh, the Titanium variant comes across as a great deal.

  • Q. Which is better among petrol and diesel variant - Freestyle?

    Zigwheels | 1 year ago

The Freestyle can be had with two engine options - a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel - and both engines are good and only available with a manual transmission. The diesel version gets the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre TDCI engine that also powers the Figo, Aspire and the EcoSport. The Ford Freestyle gets a new, punchy 1.2-litre petrol engine (96PS/120Nm), which also happens to be the most powerful naturally aspirated engine in its class. The Petrol engine is punchy, the slick-shifting gearbox and the amount of safety tech that is on offer. The diesel engine, on the other hand, continues to be as capable and potent as before.

Ford is always known to bring cars loaded with a best-in-class safety kit. The Ford Freestyle is no different and scores high on safety with six airbags, ABS with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution), ESC (electronic stability control) and TCS (traction control system) along with ARP (active rollover prevention). With a ground clearance of 190mm, which will give a smooth drive on rough roads. As per your daily driving of 50kms, we'd suggest you go for a diesel engine which will help to reduce the running cost as the ARAI claimed mileage of 1.5-liter diesel motor is 24.4kmpl and that to 1.2-liter petrol engine is 19kmpl.As per your budget and driving condition, we'd suggest the top Titanium Plus variant (ex-showroom Delhi is Rs.8.26 Lakh), as it gets a 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring Ford’s latest SYNC3 infotainment system that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features include automatic climate control, passive keyless entry with push-button engine start-stop, auto-dimming inside rearview mirror (IRVM), auto headlamps and rain-sensing wipers. Moreover, we would suggest you take the test drive of the vehicles so that you can understand the difference and will help you to make a final decision for your purchase - Ford Car Showrooms
