What is good and bad in City 4th Generation?

  • City 4th Generation Positives

Space, well-equipped base variant, smooth CVT automatic, fun-to-drive petrol engine

  • City 4th Generation Negatives

Noisy diesel engine, average interior quality, below par touchscreen, top variants are woefully expensive

  • Expert's Conclusion

Honda didn't drastically change the City’s formula. It looks better than it's predecessor and retains its core strength with acres of space and a smooth, fun-to-drive petrol engine.

    Truth hurts

How to be a good girlfriend relationships are very nice. They inspire people and make people have a positive mind. Many people nowadays wanted to be in a relationship because they think that when they don’t have a partner, They will be lonely forever.Although this is not entirely true, Many people now are in a rush to be in a relationship. We can actually use online dating sites to find love, It is so easy now and we get to meet many people at a short time. But before we get romantically involved with someone, We should know first how to be a good girlfriend because as what i have observed, People don’t know the true meaning of it.I have seen many men whose girlfriends are so out of control and are so spoiled. Here are some tips on how to be a good girlfriend.Be respectful.Respecting one’s differences is a key to a long-term romance.Knowing that people sometimes do mistakes and still respecting them is a good way to strengthen the bond you have with your pair.Never blame your spouse for something that they cannot control.Always understand that some people have strengths and weaknesses.Always remember that respect begets respect so if you want your pair to regard you, Show that you do the same thing. Also, If you want to be a good girlfriend, Respect is the first thing that you should give to them before anything else.Distance yourself from tempting situations. The best way to prevent temptation is to stay away as far as possible from it.Do not put yourself in a situation that could potentially harm your relationship.Cut off all contact with that individual you are planning to have an affair with.If he or she is a coworker, Ask your manager to reassign you to another department or place. If you don’t really want to hurt your pair, Do everything in your power to stay away from tempting situations.Being a good partner means that you are loyal to your pair, You do things truthfully and you never do things that might hurt the feelings of your pair.Share everything. In my personal experience, I can say that this is true because i don’t feel awkward when i try to tell something to my pair.I also find it favorable when my partner shares something to me, I love supporting and listening to them about what they are going to tell me.Even when the truth hurts, They would always tell me if something is wrong or i did something that might have offended them and i didn’t notice. It’s always good to be honest.Be kind to each other.I make it a habit not to give trouble to my pair and i make sure that my words are not causing them pain.We always make it a habit to be gentle with our words to avoid further arguments.I consider the words i would say to my pair whenever i am angry because although i am mad, I don’t want to call them names and hurt them on the process. You can read this article to know what kind of person are you based on your FAVOURITE dog breed.Dogs best life.Com.

    Service lane

Aug2, 2019I had purchased a Honda city/Grace in India Nov 2018. Now the car has been completed 17500 KMS.It’s happened last night while driving. I was on red light after a trip of approx. 100 kms in the same date. I stopped the engine on red light for save the fuel. The red light changed into green and I pushed the start button with clutch, however the car wasn’t start. The battery was giving the power and the motor was rotating but the engine wasn’t start. I tried it several time, but the engine didn’t start. The cops were come to me and help me to bring the car on a service lane. Then I called to service center of Honda locally. He replied, now the time is 7:30 PM (IST - India) and the service center has been closed, however you can bring your car at service center and will help you in morning, I said its ok. I asked again him, what should I do in this situation? He said please call a local mechanic, he may check the normal faults. There may be some fusing or some other small problem. During searching of local mechanic, I tried to lock the car by automatic key, but the sensors weren’t working. Then I call a local mechanic, he check it. He told, the fuel motor isn’t injecting the fuel into the engine. He requested me please put some fuel, may be the fuel tank is showing the fuel, and didn’t have.I put the fuel of Rs 500/- in Indian rupees approx. 6-7 letter petrol. But the problem was the same. Then he told there is major problem, please call to service center or I can also fix it but I take it to my service center. I refused it and give him his service fee. Then I was waiting the Crane, It will tow the car to Honda service center. After an hour, While waiting I pressed the key lock button, but the car wasn’t locking. However I was still trying the Key and pressing the button, after 5-6 try suddenly the sensors start working, I thought may be the car start. Then I sit on driving seat and press the button with clutch. The Car started, then I drove it and brought to home.it was too shameful for me, i had invested that much amount and a new car stopped on road. The problem was in fuel inject motor. this is a associated problem in all honda city car (new or old) and also in AMAZE too (confirmed by service dealer)

    Low comparing

I have chose Honda VX Cvt after reviewing, testing almost all the cars available in the sub 20 lakhs. Cost of ownership - LOW comparing other cars which will make you 1.5 mill poor.Mileage - Receiving mileage of apprx. 15 kmpl on highways, 10 on city conditions (AC ON - Always)Comfort - Most comfortable sedan in the class or May be a class higher.performance - Yes, there is rubber band effect which is common for CVT but you can overcome it by using the paddle shift in Sports mode. The paddle shift will work on the normal drive mode for quick overtakes, I prefer downshifting on paddle shifts for tight situations/ either for engine breaking or Quick overtakes.ECO Mode - Will reduce the performance of the vehicle so I only use it while on highway cruises with Cruise control.Over all Experience - Excellent.

    Yeah scary

Great family car with top notch performance.Ease of use and comfortable and spacious interiors beats any other car be it sedan, Or suv in the price range.Mileage is great for longer rides, But in cities it is average.Biggest issue with the car, Is that you can hear a lot of road noise and feel heavy thuds with metallic sounds (yeah scary ones really) on the smallest of bumps or potholes, Which is primarily due to the excessive softness of the suspension and the low profile tires, And yes this makes it difficult to ride of bad roads since the ground clearance is not adequate for indian roads. There are also a few issues with the interior fittings as you can hear a few sounds from the fittings inside the cabin.

    Good interiors

honda city need no review as it is so good. Being Honda car, its maintenance is little costly however it has really good engine and comfort. good interiors with good music system. car has required power and stability on road. in short, except maintenance, there is nothing to complain about. Be wary of the authorized service centre as they cheat and advice many more things which may not be required. read your manual about service requirements. the service cycle is 3 months or 5000 kms and you can get it serviced in 6 months if conditions suit you. however take care and go by manual of the car. go for minor service in 3 months and bigger service in six months. so you will be able to save some amount.

Must Read Questions & Answers Before Buying City 4th Generation

Q. What is the main difference between 4th generation and 5th generation?
  • The 2020 Honda City is more of an evolution rather than a revolution. Honda has played it safe by ironing out the older car’s shortcomings and making it an overall complete product. It still rides on an identical 2600mm wheelbase, but the new City is longer and wider, courtesy a heavily revised platform. The new City’s design looks premium with elements borrowed from the Accord and Civic. Even the interior is more European with a cleaner and simpler design which we really like. Honda has also loaded the new City decently. New additions include Honda’s LaneWatch Camera (part of blindspot monitoring wherein a camera is placed on the left side outside rearview mirror), a semi-digital instrument cluster with a 7-inch screen, connected car technology with Alexa remote capability, and a tyre pressure monitor. Carryover features include touchscreen infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, cruise control, a sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start and auto headlamps. Safety features on offer are six airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors with a rearview camera and electronic stability control. The new Honda City’s petrol engine has 2PS more power but the torque figure remains unchanged. It also gets a new 6-speed manual over the 5-speed manual transmission offered in the fourth-gen City. The new petrol engine also claims an extra 0.4kmpl of mileage. Both fourth-gen and new-gen City petrol engines get the option of a 7-step CVT automatic with paddle shifters, but the new one has an improved unit.Read more -2020 Honda City Goes On Sale Alongside Its Predecessor.-2020 Honda City Launch Tomorrow: 5 Things You Should Know.
Q. Which car is better, between City 4th generation, Altroz or Jazz?
  • All three cars are good from different segments. Honda City 4th Generation is a sedan whereas, Honda Jazz and Tata Altroz are a hatchback. Honda didn't drastically change the City’s formula. It looks better than its predecessor and retains its core strength with acres of space and a smooth, fun-to-drive petrol engine. On the other hand, While the Altroz does not manage to set a new standard in the segment, it will fit right into the mix with a long feature list, sharp looks and a comfortable ride. The engine refinement remains to be the major chink in the armour. Whereas, If you are looking for a spacious and comfortable car for your family and want a refined engine and smooth drive quality, you may go for Honda Jazz. For a better understanding of compatibility and driving comfort, we would suggest you to take a test drive. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership.Read more -Tata Altroz iTurbo: First Drive Review.
Q. It's worth to buy Honda City 4th Generation now?
  • The Honda City 4th Generation is still a good option for those looking for a spacious and well-equipped car with a fun-to-drive petrol engine. Prices for the fourth-gen Honda City have been reduced by up to Rs 66,000. The top-spec VX and ZX trims as well as the CVT variants have been discontinued from the lineup. That means you miss out on niceties like a sunroof, automatic headlamps, automatic wipers as well as side and curtain airbags. However, the new top-spec V variant packs essentials such as climate control, a touchscreen infotainment system, keyless entry with push-button start, dual airbags, ABS with EBD and rear parking sensors. For a better understanding of compatibility, performance and driving comfort, we would suggest you to take a test ride. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details

Q. Is the touch screen of honda city not good enough I have heard the response is sometime very slow. Touch don't respond properly. Also is navigation present or not Plz give detail about touch screen. What about the music system. Are speakers and music system good
  • I own 2017 model of honda city. The digipad is horrible and had performance issues since begining. Just after three years, after lapse of warranty, the one in my car performs at its will, switches to any radio station at its will, dials any number it feels, icons on screen dance, and other ghost touch issues. Honda dealership acknowledged verbally that the 2017 digipad provided has lots of complaints. After 3 years, the product will be out of warranty and honda will wash off it's hands. Customers thereafter will be at God's mercy for thier stupidity for buying Honda product. One can easily find hundreds of details on the web on this issue.
  • Bro, I have found solution of it.Connect the map sd card to pc.In iGO folder there is a folder named 'Save' just delete (it because this folder gets corrupted if digipad shutdown while resetting). Put the sd card in honda DIGIPAD and open navigation..It will automatically create new Save folder and setting will start saving.Honda guys are not competent at all.
  • My digipad 1.0, map is auto resetting everytime every time when switched on. Not saving any location. Service center guys not able to correct it. Car is still in warranty but I am unable to do anything.Honda will be so irresponsible i never imagined.Any body have solution plz message me on narenforever@yahoo.com

Q. If servicing is done latee then what is the difference - City?
  • Different versions of every vehicle have different servicing cycles or requirements. Read the maintenance schedule of your car manual and find out what actually is required for it. Delay of about 1-2 is fine however that too depends on the use. If it\'s not being used much then delay of even 2-3 months is fine however if it\'s in extensive running then it should not be delayed. If you want to delay due to expenses then get the car serviced at some local place and then get it serviced at authorised service centre on next service. I always recommend authorised service centres but you should keep the check. I get serviced in six months when the advised service becomes due in every three months. But in between I keep checking the oils and filters etc. I have now started to get local service on 3-4 months and then get it serviced from authorised service centres. If not taken care of the engine and other parts, they may get damaged. Mileage and performance Will go down. At least get it's checkup regularly.
  • It all depends on the usage of your vehicle, if there has been a delay in the service and you go for a long drive...you may end up with a low mileage as well as wear and tear of your engine would be more if the Engine oil life is almost over....
  • Engine oil is the top most essential thing for an automobile. Servicing without oil change is no problem if delayed. But, if the oil change is not done in time, the engine life deteriorates and simultaneously its performance goes down. In servicing, all essential things like brake fluid, engine coolant, water, grease are checked and changed or filled. If these things are not done in time, vehicle's condition will deteriorate along with performance.

Q. WHAT IS THE AIR PRESSURE RECOMMENDED IN THE TYRE - City?
  • These tyre pressures recommended are for FULL LOAD ie 5 persons + 40 kg luggage. For City use ie 2 or 3 persons you may keep 28 psi all around. I'm a qualified Tyre Engineer and know what I'm talking
  • You can find it at bottom left when you open the driver side door
  • Recommended Air pressure is 30 to 35 PSI. Try and keep the air pressure more in Front tires compared to rear tires. Thanks
