About Ford Cars
Ford has built a legacy of making Teutonic cars which are invariably more engaging to drive than the rest of their segments, but the carmaker is switching priorities in 2020. Now, Ford emphasises giving value to its customers with affordable products and low maintenance costs. Ford’s lineup consists of the Figo, Freestyle, Aspire, EcoSport, Endeavour, and Mustang. The Dearborn, Michigan-based company began operations in India with the Escort sedan. In 2001, Ford launched the Festiva-based Ikon sedan which quickly became a hit with petrolheads. Back in the day, the Ikon was even available with a 1.6-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine! In 2020, the Fiesta is extinct and the Figo has gone soft. But with BS6 engines and low prices, the Figo, its sedan and crossover cousins, and the EcoSport are still affordable. Although Fords aren’t the handling champions they used to be, they are more accessible. Ford’s future vehicles in India will be the fruits of its joint venture with Mahindra. We hope the carmaker retains its legacy of build quality to make more driver’s cars this year.

The Family car of my house . dad gifted this car to my mom on 22/09/19 after her grand i10 drowned in floods in baroda and went in total loss and she generally uses it in the city and i use it occasionally to college (50kms both up and down) and this is the best compact SUV in india . Take anything its the best - highest water wading capacity (REQUIRED in baroda 😂) , looks , power , SAFETY , features are not too tacky but all available are useful in daily times , mileage , ground clearance, We recently took our Fordy out in the diwali from baroda - ajmer - jaipur for 5 days and 2400 kms we just had to refuel (full tank ) it just twice for 3200 rs each. first full tank from baroda on the first day and the second one while leaving from Jaipur and we came back home in half tank pending . means 4800 was the fuel price for this trip gave us close to 22-23 KMPL. Totally worth it . i planned to buy a venue for me now this Feb'20 but why would i if i have uska baap at home ❤ ?Meherzaad 4 months ago

I bought titanium plus automatic model.I was very impressed with the safety features but was worried about the mileage part, as almost all reviews said , poor mileage.. around 8 km in city drive and about 10-11 km on highway.. since my usage was limited , took the risk and bought it. Now. I am pleasently surprised to note that the mileage I am getting is much higher. In city bumper to bumper traffic with AC on, I am getting around 10 , and with moderate city traffic the mileage is around 11-12. However on highway I got 15 km with AC on.. which is very good considering it is an automatic transmission. I have driven about 2000 km and keeping the RPM around 2000-2500, as it is still engine run in phase. It depends on the driving pattern as well and I switch off the engine if the wait for green signal is more than 60 second, probably it helps.Narasimha 6 months ago

I purchased Ford Ecosport on 14th Feb 2020. Soon after the purchase, noises has been coming from different sides of the car. The dashboard, the four side doors, and even from the back, it keeps making non continuous noises. These noises are causing me irritation and distraction while driving. I got car's first service at 3000km which was a little late due to nationwide lockdown. Even after the service, noises/ sounds keep coming from either parts. The sounds sometimes stop coming own their own and sometimes don't stop at all. Its very troublesome and extremely annoying. I purchased Ford car because it has been reviewed as good quality/ heavy material built car but I am highly disappointed and unsatisfied with it. My experience with the Ford is a drastic let down.Garima 4 weeks ago

Model 2013; Figo Titanium 1.4 litre DuraTorq Diesel. Clocked 75K kms till date.Car is pretty robustly built and is reasonably engaging to drive. And there ends the good things about the car.After-sales services are the worst with Ford. Spare parts are extremely expensive and service centers have damaged my car multiple times when given for periodic maintenance !! E.g., once they broke the rear left side ABS sensor. Another time they broke the plastic cowl beside front bonnet. Another time, they broke the hood latch handle (plastic). Yet another time, they screwed up the ECU (after some update) that, while driving back from service center, the car went into limp mode. Another time they screwed up the wheel alignment (after suspension replacement). Once they misplaced the carpet and till date never bothered to give me a replacement or pay me money! Once they painted the front left fender and it had a massive over spray!Once I was overcharged by 1800 Rupees and settled that during another visit to same service center 2yrs later!!Mind you, all of these were from different Ford service centers across South India. Not a single one gave me a 10/10 service in the first attempt.Milw 1 year ago
Aspire 20184.4300 reviews & ratings
I purchased the new Ford Aspire Titanium variant in October, just 9 days after its launch. What prompted me to buy this was good looks, value for money & positive user response of the old edition Aspire. Only reason i am giving it two star is that TYRE NOISE, It"s absolutely overwhelming. My Titanium variant came fitted with a stock Apollo 195/55/R15 tyre. Initial drive at low speeds, i could feel that noise is on much higher side but i got the real taste of how loud it is when i took it on a highway ride. It sound like i am driving a tractor. Noise is so loud that i can"t make calls, can"t take it for long ride as i get headache from the noise after 30 mins.Apparently, this is a persistent problem with Aspire Model. I did some google and found that company had replaced the MRF tyres in old Aspire edition as well.I have got the issue checked with Ford service center (Dwarka Ford, Delhi) as well who confirmed that there is excessive tyre noise. They took the car to a Apollo dealer who also verified the same. This shuffling is going on for two weeks without any action. My advice, pay close attention to tyre noise while making a purchase decision. It is a deal breaker.Akash 1 year ago
Figo4.1625 reviews & ratings
I bought the Ford Figo 3 years back and it still seems to be as good as new. Maintenance costs are reasonable and to say the actual quality of the car itself is very strong and sturdy so need not worry about the safety. For the mileage part, I receive almost around 23 kmpl on highways and around 18.5 kmpl on mixed day to day commutes. The styling is something I am in love with but wish I could have some projector headlamps and DRLs to go with it.A bit sad about the lack of accessories available from the company and 3rd party vendors. Doesn't seem much popular among them.Arun 8 months ago

Ford EcoSport has a rear shoulder room of 1225 mm. A wider body normally results in a better shoulder room inside the car and EcoSport is wider than Figo. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive of both the cars in order to clear your all doubts. The Ford Aspire has only manual transmission in option. The Manual Diesel variant has a mileage of 24.4 kmpl. The Manual Petrol variant has a mileage of 18.5 kmpl. The Ford Aspire is certainly the most spacious car in its category. With scooped out front seats, the rear passengers certainly have a lot of legroom, headroom, and most importantly, a shoulder room. In fact, the rear is spacious enough to comfortably fit three full-grown average Indian passengers with ease. Moreover, we would suggest you to visit the dealership and take a test drive with your family so that you can check it's comfort and performance.
