Truly a international looking model, the Yamaha Fazer has excellent proportions and a solid big-bike feel to it with styling that cannot go unnoticed. The 150cc engine is potent while the handling is brilliant for daily commutes as well as weekend rides.
The Yamaha Fazer FI V2.0 is a semi-faired bike based on the FZS-FI. This is the second generation model. The bike has the same body panels of the FZS-FI v2.0 with the addition of the half-fairing and twin headlamps. The biggest change visually is actually the fairing. The fairing now has sharper lines and gels better with the rest of the bodywork. The graphics are new. The bike gets a new fully-digital instrument cluster which is easier to read on the move.
The Fazer-FI v2.0 gets a 149cc air-cooled single-cylinder motor tuned for better efficiency and performance. The new motor makes 13.2PS at 8000rpm and 12.8Nm of torque at 6000rpm. The new motor gets electronic fuel injection for a crisper throttle response. Suspension setup has telescopic forks upfront and a monoshock damper at the rear. The setup is tuned for better handling. The tyres are a large 100 section at the front and 140 section at the rear. Braking is via a front disc/rear drum setup. Fuel tank capacity is 12 litres while kerb weight is 137kgs.

Suzuki Gixxer SF Fi: The Gixxer SF Fi retails at Rs 93,032, close to Rs 5,000 more than the Gixxer. For the extra money you get a rear disc brake, a full fairing, more power and better design. Power is courtesy of a 154.9cc air-cooled and fuel-injected single-cylinder powerplant. Power output is 14.8PS at 8000rpm and 14Nm at 6000rpm.

The Fazer-FI v 2.0 commands a Rs 5,000 premium over the naked bike. You do not get much for that increased price except for the half fairing and twin headlamps. If it is looks you want, go for the Fazer. If you want better performance and handling, it's the FZS-FI.
