TVS Jupiter 125 vs TVS iQube: Features Compared

The TVS Jupiter 125 and the TVS iQube are both family scooters from TVS’ lineup, with the biggest difference being that one is a petrol-powered scooter while the other one is an EV. So, how do they compare, in terms of features? Let’s take a look:

Instrument Console

The TVS Jupiter 125’s disc and drum variants get a semi-digital instrument console with an analogue speedometer on the left and an LCD screen on the right hand side. The LCD screen shows odometer, trip meter, distance-to-empty and an Eco/Power indicator readouts.

The S variant gets a 7-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, voice assist, Alexa integration, call and SMS alerts and also the ability to upload your documents. Also, in both the S and ST variants with your phone connected to the console through the TVS Connect app, you can check out your past rides, remotely check the scooter’s battery status, figure out where the scooter was last parked and get alerts when you are speeding or have an emergency.

Other Features

The TVS Jupiter 125 gets a 33-litre underseat storage space (the biggest in the segment) along with a 2-litre glove box in the front apron and an external fuel filler cap for added convenience. It also gets a USB charging port. The scooter has a silent starter and an idle-stop-start system, which switches off the engine when it’s idling at traffic stops and other such scenarios to save fuel.

The TVS iQube’s base variant gets a 30-litre underseat storage space while the S and the ST variants get a 32-litre underseat storage space. All 3 variants get a USB charging port. Other than these, the iQube comes equipped with two riding modes: Eco and Power and regenerative braking system, which charges the battery from the kinetic energy stored while braking.

Compared to the TVS Jupiter 125, the TVS iQube is more feature-loaded for sure. But that also comes at a price as the iQube’s pricing starts at Rs 94,999 for the base variant and goes up to Rs 1,85,373 (both ex-showroom Bengaluru including EMPS 2024 subsidy, which stands for Electric Mobility Promotion Scheme 2024) for the ST (5.1kWh) variant. The Jupiter 125’s prices start from Rs 86,405 for the drum variant and go up to Rs 96,855 (both ex-showroom Delhi) for the SmartXonnect variant. As a petrol-powered family scooter, the Jupiter 125’s pricing and features list is pretty apt and the same goes for the TVS iQube as well, as a family-oriented electric scooter.
