Quick Read:
The next-gen Triumph Tiger 900 will likely get a heavily revised engine
Global debut is expected at EICMA 2026, with a launch likely in 2027
Will command a noticeable premium over the current Tiger 900 thanks to new tech and hardware upgrades
Triumph is preparing a major generational leap for the Tiger 900, and a recent test mule spotted in southern Europe reveals just how deep the overhaul goes. The current Tiger 900 is already extremely capable, but its successor seems set to raise the bar even higher for middleweight adventure tourers.
While the overall design silhouette remains identical to the current Triumph Tiger 900, we can see a projector headlight, a more substantial windscreen (since it's the GT variant), revised panels, and the overall proportions indicate more aggression, especially with the new bodywork. The bike also gets auxiliary lights, an engine guard and a centre stand, all of which might be optional accessories.

One of the most significant changes lies in the engine. The prototype sports a reworked engine block, while the exhaust system has been completely reconfigured. The new muffler is noticeably larger and sits lower. We expect a bump in displacement as well as power over the current 888cc triple, which makes 108PS and 90Nm. This should help in improving performance while also off-setting emission restrictions. It’s paired with a manual transmission, possibly with a bidirectional quickshifter.
Although the frame silhouette looks familiar, we can spot a few updates underneath, such as a redesigned swingarm, seemingly longer than the one on the current-gen bike. If our guesstimate is true, then it should also result in a longer wheelbase that should improve straight-line stability. The disguised Tiger also sports a new subframe, which accommodates a bigger seat for both rider and pillion - another hint towards improved long-distance comfort. Consequently, the design of the number plate holder also seems to be different.

The most striking update comes in the form of new radar-based features. A front-mounted radar sensor (the flat black part just above the headlight) is a clear indication of the presence of adaptive cruise control, while a sensor at the rear indicates blind spot monitoring—both extremely rare in this segment. The spied model retains the 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel and brake setup from the GT variant. The Rally version is expected to come with a 21-inch front wheel (possibly tubeless spokes at both ends).

Triumph is expected to unveil the new Tiger 900 at the 2026 EICMA show, with a global launch likely in early to mid-2027. Given that the Tiger lineup is one of the best-selling big ADVs in India, the brand is expected to bring the new-gen Tiger to India in 2027 as well, shortly after the international rollout.
The current Triumph Tiger 900 range in India starts from Rs 14.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). With radar-based tech, a reworked engine, a revised chassis and upgraded electronics, expect the upcoming model to command a fair premium over the existing version - possibly priced starting at around Rs 15-16 lakh, depending on the goodies Triumph will offer.
