Triumph Thruxton 400 FAQs
Thruxton 400 Key Highlights
Design: In terms of design, the Thruxton 400 remains unchanged. It features a signature café racer look, including a front semi-fairing, clip-on handlebars, bar-end mirrors, and a sculpted fuel tank. The single-piece seat with a seat cowl looks minimalist and gives it a sporty stance, further enhance its retro racing appeal.
Features: Feature-wise, the 350cc Thruxton 400 comes equipped with all-LED lighting, a semi-digital instrument cluster with an analogue tachometer, and a slipper clutch. These features enhance both its retro charm and modern usability.
Engine: Powering the bike is a 349cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 40PS and 32Nm. Compared to the 400cc version, which made 42PS and 37.5Nm, this engine is expected to deliver a slightly toned-down yet engaging performance with a focus on smoothness and everyday usability.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: Under the skin, the Thruxton 400 continues with a premium chassis setup. It gets a USD fork and a monoshock at the rear, tuned slightly on the stiffer side to complement its sporty nature. The bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels and comes with disc brakes at both ends, supported by dual-channel ABS.
Rivals: The Triumph Thruxton 400 doesn’t have any natural rivals in India, and the next closest rival is the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650.
