Royal Enfield has setup a new website, where it announced that it will sport a new brand logo, crest and monogram. The iconic motorcycle manufacturer has changed its logo for the first time since its existence as an Indian brand from1955. The new logo isn’t much different from the existing one but has been tinkered a little to give it a modern appearance. According to the manufacturer, “the new stripes” represent the evolution of the brand Royal Enfield while maintaining its legacy and heritage.
This move can be associated as a part of its strategy to expand its foothold in the international market and Royal Enfield feels the new redesigned logo will appeal more to a global audience. The company has announced that all models will now sport the new Royal Enfield logo, while some recent shipment of bikes with the new logo has already landed at dealerships. The new crest was first showcased during the unveiling of the Royal Enfield concept store prior to the 2014 Auto Expo in Saket, Delhi.
Apart from the new logo, Royal Enfield has also updated the Thunderbird with two new colour options. The cruiser offering will now be available in Lightning (brown) and Marine (blue). Also the individual models of Royal Enfield bikes will sport specific logos that have also been revised.
Sales for Royal Enfield have been going strong as the company registered an 85 per cent growth in the first half of 2014. The company managed to sell 64,268 units in the first three months of this year, as compared to just 34,736 units from 1st January to 31st March 2013. Realted: Royal Enfield sales in top speed.
