Yamaha Thailand has updated its popular naked, the Yamaha MT-15. While it is merely a cosmetic revision, the company has tried to emulate the paint scheme of the 2021 Yamaha MT-09. It is priced at THB 98,500 (around Rs 2.38 lakh), the same as before.

The motorcycle is now available in three colour options: Metallic Gray, Racing Blue, and Matt Black. All three feature the signature slanted stripes on the fuel tank like the MT-09, along with a large MT logo. There are colour-coded stripes on the tail panel too, coupled with colour-coded wheels for an added dose of sportiness. While this may look cool, the India-spec motorcycle allows the flexibility to choose the colour of the bodywork and the wheels of the motorcycle. We get to pick from 11 new colour combinations, certainly a lot more than just the three in the Thai-spec.

However, the motorcycle sold in Thailand comes with superior underpinnings. It gets a premium gold-finished inverted front fork and an aluminium swingarm. On the other hand, the Indian model has to do with a traditional telescopic front fork and a box-section swingarm. Also Read: All You Need To Know About The 2021 Yamaha MT-09

Powering the Thai-spec 2021 MT-15 is the same engine as before, churning out 19.2PS at 10,000rpm and 14.7Nm at 8500rpm. The motor is mated to a 6-speed transmission with assist and slipper clutch. While it gets a disc brake at both ends, it does not have ABS.

So what do you think of the 2021 MT-15? Should the same colour schemes be offered here? Let us know in the comments below.
