Triumph has recently given us a teaser as to what’s coming alongside the launch of the new Bonneville T40. The 2027 Street Triple, Tiger 900 and Tiger 1200 will all receive notable updates, with the Street Triple undergoing the most substantial mechanical and visual transformation. Triumph will reveal each motorcycle separately over the next few months.

It is the Triumph Street Triple which will get the biggest change. The bike will move to a new 798cc inline-three engine. The motor is understood to have been developed using technology and experience gained from Triumph’s Moto2 programme.

The new powerplant is expected to feature a heavily revised cylinder head, valvetrain, combustion chamber and intake ports. Triumph’s Moto2 engine has already delivered a claimed 6 percent improvement in peak output while shedding around 2 kg.
The motorcycle itself also looks substantially different. It gets a redesigned chassis, a beefier dual-sided swingarm and a new underbelly exhaust arrangement. The familiar twin bug-eye headlights have also made way for a sharper setup featuring perimeter LED lighting and a central projector LED. All things considered, in our opinion, it might just be the best-looking Street Triple to date!

The Tiger 900 and Tiger 1200 will receive technology upgrades for 2027, with both motorcycles shown sporting radar hardware mounted at the front. This points towards the possibility of advanced rider-assistance features such as adaptive cruise control and potentially blind-spot monitoring.
Both adventure motorcycles also feature revised bodywork, although Triumph appears to have retained their established Tiger design language. The Tiger 1200 has already been spotted during Sam Sunderland’s recent round-the-world record attempt, giving us an early glimpse of the updated motorcycle.

With all three motorcycles scheduled to be revealed individually, Triumph’s 2027 line-up should become considerably clearer by the end of the year. We do hope that the British bike maker launches the updated models in India soon after they are revealed internationally.
