Quick News Highlights:
- Discounts of Rs 10,000 discounts announced for the Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X
- Limited period offer valid till July 31, 2024
- The manufacturer has sold 50,000 units of both bikes combined in 50 countries since July 2023
Triumph Motorcycles has announced discounts of Rs 10,000 for the Triumph Speed 400 and the Triumph Scrambler 400 X. Also, the manufacturer has revealed that it has sold 50,000 units of both motorcycles combined in 50 countries in a year’s time.
With the Rs 10,000 discounts, the Triumph Speed 400 and the Triumph Scrambler 400 X are now priced at Rs 2.24 lakh and Rs 2.54 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively. The offer is valid till July 31, 2024. The limited period price tags are close to the introductory launch prices of both bikes. Also, Triumph has said that the limited period discount is in celebration of the Speed 400’s first anniversary. It was launched on July 5, 2023 while the Scrambler 400 X was launched on October 10, 2023.

Interestingly, the discount offer from Triumph has been announced just a few weeks before the Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450’s launch on July 17, 2024. With the discounted pricing, it will be hard for Royal Enfield to price the roadster competitively at the time of its launch. Good 'Guerrilla' warfare tactics, we say!
At the time of the Speed 400’s launch, Triumph Motorcycles had 15 dealerships in India and the network has now been increased to more than 90 dealerships. Also, Triumph received 10,000 bookings for the Speed 400 within the first 10 days of the bike’s launch. These factors must have contributed to the impressive sales numbers revealed by Triumph.

The Triumph Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400 X are both powered by a 398cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 40PS at 8000rpm and 37.5Nm at 6500rpm. The Speed 400 rivals the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R, Honda CB300R, Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z and the Zontes GK350. The Scrambler 400 X rivals the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401, Yezdi Scrambler and Royal Enfield Scram 411.
