The Bengaluru-based EV two-wheeler manufacturer has launched X47 Venom – a thorough update for the electric crossover bike. It has been launched at an introductory price of Rs 2,65,000 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). Here is everything you need to know about the motorcycle:
The Gaze

The X47 Venom looks the same as the X47 and shares the same chassis and underpinnings. The motorcycle gets a rugged design with knuckle guards, a tall-ish windvisor and a sharp side profile, giving us a proper cross-over package.
The bike comes in 4 unique shades: Stellar White, Turbo Red, Afterburner Yellow, and Cosmic Black, depending on the variant you pick
Battery Pack & Performance

The X47 Venom is the first bike to be based on the brand’s new VX-100 platform. It’s a 100-volt architecture that has enabled a host of new updates, right from 12 kW fast charging. It has also allowed the usage of a 25% more energy dense battery pack that is 15% lighter, and increases the range. It has improved cooling - 2x faster cooling as per the brand.
There’s a new controller that allows the most performance-rich Ballistic riding mode to be used from 100% to 10% battery state-of-charge, unlike up to 30% previously. The battery regen can also now be enabled right from 99% battery SoC, unlike 90% previously. Ultraviolette has added a Pyro Fuse in the battery pack that can very quickly isolate a row of batteries as soon as an electrical anomaly is detected, keeping the bike safe.

The new motor is 25% lighter, more efficient, and is claimed to have a sustained power delivery even at higher revs. The X47 Venom makes 30 kW and 90 Nm (peak), it gets a claimed top speed of 155 km and an IDC (Indian Driving Conditions) range of 345 km. It zips from 0-60 kmph in 2.7 seconds and 0-100 kmph in 5.9 seconds (claimed).
Overall, the bike weighs almost 20 kg less than the outgoing model, its kerb weight is 180 kg. Also, it gets a seat height of 820 mm and a ground clearance of 200 mm.
Feature-Packed To Brim

The bike gets an all-new 7-inch touch-enabled TFT display and comes with connectivity features such as Bluetooth connectivity, call/SMS alerts and navigation. It also gets cruise control (optional on base variant), which comes in handy while clocking on miles on the highway. Also, it gets dash cameras on the front and the rear that can record your rides in a loop, at 1080P 30FPS. These cameras are also used for park assist, help back in to or out of a parking space which enables parking assist that comes to rescue while navigating through tight parking spaces.
The bike gets a radar at the rear, which enables features such as lane keep assist and blindspot monitoring. Additionally, the bike gets traction control and switchable dual-channel ABS as standard. Other features include crash alert, ride stats, find my bike, and movement alerts.

ZigSays
Ultraviolette has significantly updated the core of the X47 with the new architecture. This has made the bike even more appealing because of the lighter weight and increased performance. We reckon this should make it an even more fun bike to ride. Top that off with an updated suite of features, and improved range, the X47 should be even better for everyday, as well as weekend rides. The updates should make the X47 a bike worth checking out if you are planning to buy an electric motorcycle this Diwali.
