Priced at Rs 20,00,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Production is limited to just 873 numbered units for the entire world
The Indian market's exclusive allocation is now completely sold out
It celebrates the iconic 1973 Ducati 750 Super Sport Desmo
Ducati India has launched the exclusive Formula 73, a limited motorcycle celebrating the brand's racing heritage. It is priced at Rs 20,00,000 (ex-showroom), the motorcycle is fully booked for the Indian allocation. Here is everything you need to know:

The Formula 73 pays tribute to the 1973 Ducati 750 Super Sport Desmo – the first Ducati bike to get the desmodromic valve timing system. The limited run bike commemorates the historic win by Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari at 1972 Miglia di Imola on the Ducati 750 Imola Desmo, which preceded the road bike.

The motorcycle is built around an 803cc Desmodue L-twin engine. This Euro5+ compliant motor uses desmodromic distribution with two valves per cylinder. This engine makes 74 PS at 8,250 rpm and 65.2 Nm at 7,000 rpm.
It gets an iconic cafe racer look, with clip-on handlebars, bar-end mirrors and a cafe-racer fairing. The bike gets a unique silver shade as its base, and the aqua green livery design cues are taken directly from the original 750 Super Sport Desmo. The gold stripe on the tank is a thoughtful Easter egg from the brand taken from the original 750 Imola Desmo race bike. Also, the bike gets chrome treatment on the wheels and billet aluminium components as standard, which includes brake and clutch levers, footpegs, and a Rizoma fuel cap.

Looks retro but gets all the features that you expect on a modern motorcycle. It gets a 4.3-inch TFT display and connectivity features via Ducati link app. The connectivity features include mobile connectivity and call/SMS alerts, music controls and navigation. It gets an anti-theft system, which is an additional safety feature for premium bike owners. During winters the bike has got you covered with heated grips.
The bike has two riding modes (Road and Sport), which change the power output of the bike according to the mode selected. It also has cornering ABS and traction control.
The retro-styled bike has a KYB 41 mm inverted fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking hardware includes a disc with a Brembo radial calliper at the front, and the rear features a disc setup. The bike weighs 183 kg.
Ducati is producing only 873 units of the Formula 73 globally. Each motorcycle features its unique serial number engraved on the steering plate, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. An exclusive allocation was made available for the Indian market. That entire quota has been sold, and Ducati India has confirmed that no new bookings are currently being accepted for the model.
The Ducati Formula 73 is priced at Rs 20,00,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). As the allocated units for India have already been sold. There is no official confirmation on the future run of the limited edition bike. The quick sellout hints at a strong demand for a modern motorcycle with a heritage-themed design that goes beyond colours and tells us a piece of history.
