While you may not be able to smell what The Rock is cooking, you will have definitely seen what these 5 brands cooked in 2025. From a retro bike to a modern electric scooter and everything in between, these 5 two-wheelers had enthusiasts go gaga:
Priced from Rs 1,99,000 (ex-showroom), the TVS Apache RTX 300 has one of the highest value-for-money quotients in its price segment. Until its launch, we knew TVS had an ADV in the works, but what we didn’t know was that they would cook better than a Michelin-starred chef.

Remember how good slow-cooked food tastes? Well, with the XSR 155, Yamaha proved that everything good takes time. But they delivered, and how! It’s everything that we had expected from the XSR, including a decent-enough price tag.

When KTM launched the first-gen 390 Adventure, it was based on the Duke platform, which wasn’t particularly suited for the ADV. But KTM heard everyone and made the new 390 Adventure on a bespoke, off-road-ready platform. KTM cooked so hard that critics shut up, and enthusiasts grabbed their chequebooks.

Hero proved that you can get a reliable electric scooter from a legacy brand at a really affordable price. No more would you have to opt for a shady electric scooter if you don’t have the budget. Priced from Rs 44,990 for the Vida VX2 GO with Battery-as-a-service, Hero cooked better than your local chinese stall (wink wink).

The Kawasaki KLX 230 is a prime example of the magic that brands can do if they really want to. When it was first launched, the KLX was imported and thus priced to a point of ridicule. But Kawasaki pulled out the legendary Japanese knives and cut its price by almost 30 percent – they localised the production. It’s almost like Kawasaki took the phrase ‘go hard or go home’ personally.
