Kawasaki fan boys, this’s the moment you’ve been waiting for! The Japanese brand has announced that it will pass on the full benefits of the recently revised GST 2.0 tax cut to its customers. With GST on motorcycles under 350cc now dropping from 28% to 18%, Kawasaki’s entry-level and mid-range bikes have become significantly more affordable, effective from today – 22nd September 2025. Here’s a look at the top 5 road-legal Kawasaki bikes that will see the biggest price drops:

Although the GST benefit has brought the price of the Kawasaki KLX230 down by Rs 31,000 – the better deal is the recently launched, localized version of this dual-sport bike: the 2026 KLX230. More about it later down below.

The Versys-X 300 is Kawasaki’s parallel-twin cylinder engine adventure tourer meant for weekend rides, long highway tours armed with the rev-happy Ninja 300’s engine. The price cut brings this all-rounder closer to bikes like the KTM 390 Adventure X, but still feels a little too costly at the end of the day - especially for a bike that has a 2010-era feature-set in 2025.

The Kawasaki Ninja 300 has been on sale in India for more than a decade now (since 2013) first as a CBU and then later as a CKD from 2018. With this price revision, it has become one of the most affordable parallel-twin cylinder bikes. More interestingly, it costs Rs 1,000 less than the BS6 version that was launched back in 2021. Price cut or not, it still badly needs new features, especially in this day and age.

In our opinion, this’s currently the best deal that Kawasaki offers. It’s now priced at Rs 1,84,000 as compared to the already tempting launch price of Rs 1,99,000 (all prices ex-showroom). If someone wants to get into the proper off-road stuff, this is one of the best road-legal bikes in the country as of now.
Depending on the variant or colour, the price differs, but the cut is the same at Rs 10,000 across the board. The Kawasaki W175 is an actual, proper old-school, air-cooled single cylinder commuter motorcycle, but even at this price point, it feels too expensive. You can get a Hero Splendor (which is also a proper, old-school single-cylinder commuter bike) at a much lower price and call it a day.

While we have listed all the road-legal bikes in the above tables, technically speaking, the 2-stroke KX range of bikes have received the highest price cuts, with the KX250 getting a massive Rs 68,000 price cut – going from Rs 8.87 lakh to Rs 7.79 lakh. The other being the KX112 now priced at Rs 4.5 lakh from the previous Rs 4,87,400 tag (a Rs 37,400 drop). These imports are bought by the cream-of-the-crop to improve their off-roading skills or just explore their private woodlands, so the price drops on such non road-legal bikes won’t really matter to the target customers.
