Concepts, EV, facelifts, and even a surprise… Tata Motors’s Auto Expo stall is likely to cover it all for you

Tata Motors was one of the manufacturers who stole the show with a myriad of concepts at the previous edition of the Auto Expo. And for the upcoming 2023 edition, the Indian marque is aiming to recreate that same bag with an exciting lineup mainly consisting of SUVs – EVs, concepts, facelifts, and a whole lot more.

So without further ado, here are the probable Tata cars that we are expecting to see at the Auto Expo 2023:

Facelifted Harrier And Safari

The Tata Harrier and Safari SUVs will undergo their first major update in the form of a facelift. Now, the test mules we have spotted so far haven’t revealed much, but we expect most of the changes to be focussed on the front-end and probably, the infotainment system as well. Also, the SUV has been spotted with a radar and ADAS features, which you can read about here.

A Surprise Concept

Tata is known for pulling off surprise concepts at Auto Expos. Last year, they did it with the Sierra, this year… well, who knows apart from Tata themselves. What we can probably say is that they will come back with a bang this year with a showstopper. Any guesses on what it could be? An electric Nano? Let us know in the comments.

Tata made a bang in 2022 with the unveiling of the Avinya and Curvv concepts. Both these models will spawn production models and at the Auto Expo, we are likely going to see more evolved versions of these concepts. They also serve as a preview of what future Tata cars would look and feel like.

Harrier EV Concept

Until now, all Tata EVs introduced in the market are from the compact SUV segment and lower down the spectrum. You’d like to see something premium too, right? At the Auto Expo 2023, the manufacturer will most likely reveal an EV concept of the Tata Harrier. It’s likely to be based on the facelifted model and will be a near-production version as well. So you can definitely expect this one to hit the markets.

Punch EV

Tata Motors has already confirmed that the Punch EV is in the works and well, what better a venue to showcase it than the Auto Expo. Upgrades are expected to be similar to other Tata cars in the form of blue highlights, EV-specific feature updates, and the Ziptron EV powertrain. You can read more about the Punch EV in this report.

CNG Models

Tata has been focussing on expanding its CNG lineup and at the Expo, it’s likely to showcase the CNG variants of the Punch and Altroz. It’ll get the familiar 1.2-litre naturally aspirated engine.
