Spy shots reveal interesting details of the Aventador replacement.
The yet-to-be-named supercar gets a split headlight setup.
It is expected to be powered by a V12 engine coupled with a hybrid system.
Looks like Lamborghini has to learn a thing or two from Ferrari when it comes to product secrecy and testing without getting papped. It was indeed a bad day for Lamborghini and quite possibly the best day for the paparazzi around Sant’Agata Bolognese as the upcoming Aventador replacement broke down in the middle of the road. Thanks to this glitch in the matrix, the paparazzi had a field day by photographing and giving us the closest ever look at the upcoming supercar.
These photographs are significant because this is the first time we get to see the car up close. Up until now, the supercar was heavily camouflaged, revealing little to no details. The ill-fated test mule displays many bits including the overall silhouette which looks like a tool that is synonymous with all Lamborghinis. The Aventador replacement actually looks pretty smashing even with a full-scale ugly camouflage on it. The front end features a split headlight setup with the indicators on the bonnet lip.
The test mule has fake rear taillights in the form of stickers but one can actually see the outline of the slim rear tail lamps above it. The standout bit from the rear is obviously the bulky stance along with the quad-exit exhausts up top. Another interesting bit is the large side air intake to cool whatever’s powering the unnamed supercar.

Rumours suggest the upcoming Lamborghini will boast a V12 paired with a hybrid setup. It remains to be seen if Lamborghini will stick to the 6.5-litre capacity for the V12 or downsize it, considering the additional thrust from the hybrid system. Nevertheless, expect it to pack north of at least 750PS along with an AWD system for maximum traction.
