5 Features Upcoming 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire Is Expected To Get Over Current Model

The new-gen 2024 Maruti Suzuki Dzire is expected to make its debut sometime this year, which is most likely after the launch of the 2024 Swift in May. The new-gen Dzire will get an upgraded cabin equipped with a host of new comfort and safety features, improving the sub-compact family sedan’s value proposition. 

Let’s take a look at the features it will pack over the outgoing model. 

Sunroof

The new-gen Dzire will be getting a sunroof, which was confirmed by the recent spy shots. The addition of a sunroof in the Dzire will be a segment-first feature and surely attract the buyers who want a sunroof in their car, but are on a budget. 

Larger 9-inch Touchscreen 

The 2024 Dzire, is expected to get a larger 9-inch touchscreen which will replace the 7-inch unit which is offered on the existing model. The larger touchscreen will get features like the wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as connected car tech. The Dzire will be getting a new cabin layout, which will be similar to other Maruti cars like the Fronx and Baleno, but with a different colour scheme.

360-degree Camera

We expect the upcoming Dzire to be equipped with a 360-degree camera, which will make the compact sedan even easier to park or manoeuvre through narrow lanes. The current model comes equipped with rear parking sensors and a reverse parking camera.

6 Airbags 

The 2024 Dzire is expected to get 6 airbags as standard. This will help it keep up with rival brands who are now offering 6 airbags as standard across their car lineup. It will also help the Dzire to fare better in the safety crash tests which have become stricter over the years. The existing model Dzire only gets dual airbags as standard across all variants.

Wireless Phone Charger

A wireless phone charger is being offered by many cars these days. We expect Maruti to do the same with the 2024 Dzire, as it would up the premiumness of the subcompact sedan. In the current model, you need to rely only on USB charging ports to keep your phone charged. 

The upcoming Dzire, with the addition of the modern features, will feel more premium and desirable than the current model on sale. However, its pricing will play a key part as we can expect the upgraded Dzire to be priced slightly higher than the current model on sale which is priced from Rs 6.56 lakh (ex-showroom). After its launch, it will prove to be a tougher competitor to the likes of the Hyundai Aura, Honda Amaze and Tata Tigor.
