Quick Highlights:
2025 Bajaj Pulsar OBD-2B compliant model reached dealerships
Expected to remain the same in terms of features and specs
Could command a premium of up to Rs 1,000 over the outgoing version
Bajaj launched the Pulsar 125 back in 2019 in response to the rise in popularity of the 125cc commuter motorcycle segment in India. The motorcycle was an instant hit thanks to its frugal engine wrapped with the traditional Pulsar design language. To cater the younger audience who wanted a frugal yet sporty riding experience, Bajaj launched the Pulsar NS125 in 2021. The Pulsar NS125 is the smallest Pulsar which bears the ‘NS’ moniker, which is normally reserved for Bajaj’s sporty line of motorcycles. It gets a chassis derived from the bigger NS models and a similar design language too. This not only makes the NS125 a handsome motorcycle but a capable handler at that.
It is 2025, and all the manufacturers are making sure that their vehicles are OBD-2B emission norms compliant. The government has mandated that manufacturers will have to sell only the vehicles that comply with the emission norms in India post 31st March 2025.
We recently came across the 2025 Bajaj Pulsar NS125 at a Bajaj dealership, and the bike has been updated to comply with the OBD-2B emission norms. It also bore the “OBD-2B” sticker on the rear tyre hugger. Expect the brand to launch the bike in the days ahead.
The 2025 Bajaj Pulsar NS125 we came across at a dealership is the single-channel ABS-equipped variant, and looked the same as the 2024 version. It continued with the same LED headlight, paint scheme, and even the graphics. The instrument console was the same as well. The power and torque figures, suspension and other mechanical bits are also expected to remain the same as before. We expect the 2025 model to command a premium of around Rs 1,000 over the outgoing version, which starts from Rs 99,994 up to Rs 1,06,739 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Bajaj Pulsar 125cc range consists of three models: Pulsar 125, Pulsar N125 and the Pulsar NS125. Though the motorcycles are not the most feature-rich of the lot, they are the second-highest selling 125cc motorcycles in India, with a combined sales figure of 53,786 units sold in February 2025. The Pulsar 125cc range caters a wide range of customers. The Pulsar 125 is for anyone who wants a hassle-free and frugal riding experience, the Pulsar N125 for the younger college-going audience, and the NS125 for anyone who wants outright performance but in a 125cc package.
The 2025 OBD-2B compliant Bajaj Pulsar NS125 will be a great package for anyone who wants to add some zing in their daily commutes with a sporty touch. That said, we wish Bajaj also gave turn-by-turn navigation feature, which would’ve helped the bike compete better with its primary rival, the TVS Raider 125.
