Here’s Your Very First Look At The Kinetic e-Luna Moped highlights

The Kinetic Luna, one of the most iconic two-wheelers of all time, is all set to make a comeback after almost 20 years in a new electric avatar, and the first visuals of the e-moped have been leaked online. We also have some exclusive information of the upcoming Kinetic Green e-Luna from our sources. Here’s all you need to know.

Similar to the OG Luna, the e-Luna is designed to be smart, simple and scores high on utility as well. It has a variant that features a split seat and a smart red chassis frame highlight offering a sporty appeal. The floorboard looks rather sizeable (especially compared to the small spine found on the TVS XL100), and will offer good space for carrying things - perhaps, large enough to carry a gas cylinder? 

We expect that E Luna may offer multiple accessory options or ideas like carrier racks for the floorboard and a tailbox to take the place of the rear seat, making the e-Luna a multi-utility electric vehicle of sorts.

According to our sources, the e-moped gets a top speed of 50kmph, making it a high-speed EV. However, the specifications and range of this e-moped have not been revealed yet. With this top speed, the e-Luna can take on the Hero Electric Optima CX, Bounce Infinity E1, and Ampere Magnus.

Apart from that, the leaked image shows that the moped gets a telescopic fork and a dual shock absorber setup. It rolls on wire spoked rims (most likely 16-inchers) with drum brakes at both ends.

We expect the e-Luna to launch in July 2023, with an expected ex-showroom price tag between Rs 70,000 and Rs 80,000.
