The scooter will be unveiled by Mr. Nitin Gadkari himself

Kinetic Green is set to launch the Kinetic Green E-Luna tomorrow, in presence of Mr. Nitin Gadkari who will be unveiling the scooter himself.  The manufacturer had opened pre-bookings for the same on the 26th of January

The E-Luna is a multi-utility electric scooter and features a similar design as the original Luna, a simple and rugged utilitarian design language which emphasises practicality. It features a round halogen headlight housed inside a square nacelle and gets halogen indicators. 

Through an exclusive interview with the CEO and founder of Kinetic Green, Ms. Sulajja Firodia Motwani we were able to get details about the E-Luna’s specifications. The moped will be powered by a mid-mounted motor that can produce a peak power output of 2kW mated to a 2kWh battery pack, it has a top speed of 50kmph and the Kinetic Green is also working on a motor with a power output of 3kW and top speed of 65-70kmph.

The scooter will come with swappable batteries. Currently the battery pack is a 2kWh unit and later customers will have the option to use higher capacity battery packs. The certified range of the E-Luna with the 2kWh battery pack is 110km. In terms of underpinnings, the E-Luna will come with 16-inch spoke wheels and have a ground clearance of 180mm. 

Features wise, the scooter gets a digital instrument cluster along with the KG connect app that will allow riders to track the performance of the scooter. It also features 4 riding modes: Eco, City, Speed and Sport.

The scooter is going to be launched tomorrow and is likely to come at a price of Rs 80,000 (ex-showroom). The E-Luna will go up against the Okinawa Dual 100 and also be an electric alternative to the TVS XL 100.
