• Q. Why Honda diesel engine is heavier than the petrol engine? Is there any better quality of materials used in Honda Amaze diesel engine than petrol engine?

    Its only natural that diesel engines generate lot of heat inside the chamber on the run. So the engine's combustion chamber should be strongly built to withstand heat and other related vibration and harshness. It deserves stronger metallurgy than the petrol engine's construction and other paraphernelia connected with the engine should be also connected accordingly, hence it is heavier.

    Not so heavy, Honda make its new earth dream engine by using aluminium blocks which give low friction and better performance, as life also
