Q. Which is better - diesel or petrol in AMAZE and why?

Kesiraju | 7 years ago4 ReplyIf your daily commute is more than 5O-60 Kms a day .then you should choose a diesel variant. Other wise petrol amaze is best. . In all new Amaze both petrol and Diesel variants are equally positioned well and became popular . In New amaze the NVH levels are much lesser compared to first gen version hence it is quite ok with diesel engine also . More over if you apply your calculations properly done. You may be able to run your petrol car with the extra 1.25 to 1.5 Lac you pay for a diesel version . In the New Amaze Diesel CVT offered is first in the segment . It is now more frugal and efficient. If CNG is added to petrol it definitely economical the power out put will be less with CNG and you may feel less torque while driving . .We donot suggest CNG for petrol variants.so Please choose based on your daily commute .
Srimanth | 6 years ago2 ReplyGo for petrol variant. The serice period would be more for petrol than diesel so, maintenance could will be less. Petrol engine will be durable even with long gaps between service to service. Don't compromise with safety. Go for top load variant where all have airbags. Good choice if you consider amaze. 5 people can easily accomate with good leg space.
Arit | 5 years ago3 ReplyDiesel Manual has very good torque and engine power. Its a pleasure to drive the car especially on long drives. Petrol CVT is crisp for the city run. I preferred petrol as my running is mostly in the city and lower cost of the vehicle. Maintenance cost is mostly same for both. If using for heavy running and hilly roads diesel is better in manual and petrol CVT for automatic.
Sudheer | 6 years ago0 ReplyDiesel with Automatic also gives you very good mileage 24km /litre or better - But I have used only Petrol,I get 10-12 km per litre with petrol and AC on ( 50% highway 50% city) and 14 to 14 km/litre w/o AC.Diesel would be a better buy -- about 5 years ago -- but in the near future Diesel may get stopped, so not worth risking.
Mohsin | 5 years ago1 ReplyIf your everyday commute is minimum 40 to 50 Kms then go for diesel model as diesel driven car gives better mileage comparing to petrol driven cars.. The price of diesel driven is more expensive comparing petrol driven, besides, diesel is less expensive comparing petrol. .

If your usage is city ride and you will be travelling more than 40km or +.Then Choose diesel CVT . If your usage is less than 15km per day +intermittent in frequent city rides then petrol CVT is better . It is very smooth and easy . Honda Amaze CVT is rated by auto pundits as Easy Best pic choice .

Kesiraju | 7 years ago0 ReplyGood choice .1500km per month is a border case and will justify A diesel version .Amaze Diesel V cvt is one probable option for you . Amaze diesel CVT is a good pic. It is efficient , smooth and L mode in CVT will cater to torque requirements when needed .

Soumyak | 7 years ago0 ReplyIt depends on the running of your vehicle. If you run your vehicle for 1000 to 1500 kms pet month then go for diesel or else you can opt for petrol variant. In diesel you get both more power and mileage.
