Honda Amaze 2016-2021 Questions and Answers

Question 1

Q. I like Honda Amaze but worried about ground clearance, I heard it gets touch when 4-5 people seats in?

Answer

Deleted repeat post

Answer

I bought Honda amaze recently. Having 4 passesngers with boot loaded with luggages, it does a decent job when we come across bumpy roads or normal speed breakers. But when the speed breaker is unusually high, then the bottom grazes with the road. However, even on a normal speed breaker, you have to ride over it very slowly when it is fully loaded. I feel overall it's above average, if not too good

Question 2

Q. When Honda will launch hybrid Amaze?

Answer

I think if it would be happening, Honda amaze get a huge demand

Answer

It should come very soon. If at all Honda releases Strong Hybrid version on its Amaze, either price should be aggressively competitive or features rich, otherwise it cannot survive in Indian market with no support from government on Hybrid car tax, infact government should encourage and introduce new slab for hybrid vehicles (which is currently being waved off for EVs) which plays a vital role on cost of ownership

Question 7

Q. Can I fit genuine Honda DRL in S CVT variant of Honda Amaze? If not, then whether aftermarket DRL is recommended or not?

Answer

No, You cannot fit genuine DRL because Honda will not allow you. This is stupid policy of Honda. They will maintain the trim difference so that people cannot buy a lower priced version and make it look like premium version. The reason they claim is that DRL are only tested for higher version. However it is obvious that if they allow such modifications then it will impact the sale of higher version as everyone will buy lower version and customize it to make it look premium causing losses to the company. Moreover aftermarket electrical modification are not advisable as it will void the warranty on electrical parts. Honda offers 3+2 year warranty which can be extended till 10 year. Loosing the warranty is definitely not advisable because you never know when you may need it. In future even if the damage is not related to your modification, company will put the blame on the modification and you may end up paying heavy price for the cheap after market modification

Answer

Selecting the right car would depend on several factors such as your budget preference on the segment, features required, cabin space, engine options, brand preference, etc. The petrol-CVT is the ideal commuter setup. It complements the nature of the engine and offers you a smooth and relaxed drive. If you are going to spend a lot of time looking at tail lamps, the petrol CVT is the one to pick. Honda Amaze is currently available in Petrol and Diesel engines. The 1199 cc Petrol engine generates a power of 88.76bhp@6000prm and a torque of 110nm@4800rpm. The 1498 cc Diesel engine generates a power of 97.89bhp@3600rpm and torque of 200nm@1750rpm. On the other hand, Kiger is a practical and balanced family car with just the right amount of frills. An affordable, yet, sensible way to enter the world of mini SUVs. CVT transmission technology offers superior refinement and fuel efficiency too. Renault Kiger is currently available in a Petrol engine. The 999 cc Petrol engine generates a power of 71.01bhp@6250rpm and torque of 96Nm@3500rpm.
