BGauss D15 - Electric Scooter

The BGauss D15 is powered by a hub-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor that churns out a peak power of 3.1kW and 110Nm. It is paired to a removable 3.2kWh li-ion battery pack that offers a claimed range of 115km. The scooter gets a claimed top speed of 60kmph and does the 0-40kmph run in seven seconds.

The BGauss D15 gets an ARAI-certified range of 115km.

The BGauss D15 takes five and a half hours to completely juice up with the primary charger, but takes only two and a half hours with the additional portable fast charger and wall-mounted charger.

The prices for the BGauss D15 starts at Rs 99,999 for the D15i variant and Rs 1,14,999 for the D15 Pro variant (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).

The BGauss D15 gets a retro-themed styling, further accentuated by the circular LED headlight. It gets simple and clean body panels that get slightly edgier on the sides with sporty graphics overlaying it. It also gets a wide single-seat setup. Its massive 16-inch wheels stand out as sooters usually have smaller 10-inch or 12-inch wheels.

The scooter comes packed with a digital instrument cluster, anti-theft alarm, side stand sensor, battery consumption indicator, USB charging socket, all LED lighting and distance to empty reading. The Pro variant additionally gets app-based connectivity features that include remote vehicle control, geo fencing, roll-over alert, find my vehicle function, health check, state of charge, range, low battery notification and OTA updates. However, the scooter misses out on navigation.

It rivals the likes of Okinawa Okhi90, Ola S1, Ather 450 Plus, Bajaj Chetak and TVS iQube Electric.
