Upcoming BMW F 450 R Teased: Will Be Most Affordable BMW Naked Bike

BMW Motorrad has officially teased its upcoming streetfighter bike through its social media channels. From the looks of the silhouette, the bike appears to be the upcoming BMW F 450 R. It will be based on the BMW F 450 GS, and here is what we expect.

The New Affordable BMW Roadster?

The upcoming BMW roadster bike will be the brand's most affordable entry-level naked motorcycle, as previously the G 310 R was discontinued.

It will be powered by the same motor as the F 450 GS, which produces 48 PS and 43 Nm. But here we can expect a slightly peppier tune to suit the street-naked characteristics. Also, the streetfighter is likely to feature the same chassis as the baby GS, but will get a more road-focused suspension setup and tune.

The teased image also reveals that the bike gets a muscular tank with sharp extensions, which really complements the overall streetfighter silhouette. The rake angle looks shorter and gets an overall compact stance. That is expected to improve its handling, which should make this quite a flickable machine.

Launch Timeline & Price

The bike will be officially unveiled on October 1, 2026. The Indian debut is expected to happen sometime next year; the brand has not confirmed the exact timeline yet. It is expected to be priced at around Rs 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom)

Where does the bike sit?

Once launched, the bike should make a good proposition for people who want a premium naked motorcycle with the BMW badge, but at an affordable price. Also, when launched, it will rival the Aprilia Tuono 457.
