Maruti Suzuki Swift Gets A Limited Edition This Diwali

• The Swift Limited Edition gets dealer-level feature additions for a premium of Rs 24,990.
• Notable additions include body skirts, sun shades and seat covers.
• The Swift is priced between Rs 5.19 lakh and Rs 8.02 lakh. 

Maruti Suzuki has launched the Swift Limited Edition with a host of dealer-level cosmetic enhancements for a premium of Rs 24,990. This edition is offered across all variants and features blacked-out elements for a sportier look. Here are the six extra additions you get for the dough you pay:

• Gloss black applique on the front grille

• Black-coloured body skirts all around the car

• Black-coloured side moulding

• Rear spoiler

• Sun shades or window visors for all four windows

• Seat covers 

No changes have been made under the hood. It’s powered by Maruti’s 1.2-litre petrol engine that develops 83PS of power and 113Nm of torque. The transmission options on offer are a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT.  

So, what do we think about the Swift Limited Edition? If Maruti would’ve offered these accessories straight from the factory, we would have recommended it with our eyes closed. But these are dealer-level fitments that could be fitted at an accessory shop for probably lesser money without voiding your warranty. 

The Maruti Suzuki Swift is currently priced between Rs 5.19 lakh and Rs 8.02 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s the first model in its segment to get a special edition this Diwali. It rivals the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios, Ford Figo and Hyundai Grand i10. A more practical option you can consider instead of the Swift is the Renault Triber.
