The new bike is likely to be a cafe racer based on the H’Ness CB350

Honda has already teased the CB350RS on social media and is finally set to launch the bike today. Earlier, most of us speculated it to be a scrambler, but now with some more clarity, we affirm it to be a cafe racer. However, in just a few hours’ time, we will get our answer and here’s what you can expect from it.

Considering the model is a cafe racer based on the CB350, expect slight tweaks to the ergonomics. The handlebar will likely be clip-ons, not a one-piece unit, and the footpegs will probably be a bit rear-set for a sportier riding posture. However, we are hopeful that the clip-ons are positioned a bit higher and not very aggressively, similar to the Royal Enfield Continental 650. The new Honda 350cc bike is likely to get goodies such as all-LED lighting, semi-digital instrument console, traction control system and dual-channel ABS.

The Honda CB350RS will probably share the 350cc motor from the H’ness CB350 that belts out around 21PS and 30Nm. Our team rode the H’Ness CB350 and found the motor to be quite refined. The 5-speed gearbox and slipper clutch will be carried forward, however, it will be interesting to see whether Honda alters the gear ratios for better bottom-end performance.

The underpinnings will be majorly similar to that of the CB350 apart from the tyres. The teaser image shows that Honda has opted for the MRF Zapper Kurve dual-purpose tyres and a new alloy wheel design.

Last but not least, the pricing for the Honda CB350RS is expected to be between Rs 2.0 lakh and 2.10 lakh (ex-showroom).
