The international launch of the much-awaited Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R has been delayed thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic that has the world on its knees. The four-cylinder quarter-litre supersport was scheduled to be launched on April 4, 2020. At present, there's no word on a possible launch date for the event. The brand says it will communicate the same when the current health situation normalises.
The talking point about the ZX-25R is its engine. While we don’t have numbers to swear by, we do know that the heart powering the bike is a 250cc liquid-cooled inline-four mill that’s capable of redlining up to 17,000rpm. And we won’t be surprised if the supersport makes around 60PS, or even more, through its quarter-litre engine. That’s 11PS more than its older sibling, the Ninja 400.

If that wasn’t crazy enough, the ZX-25R also comes with a couple of electric rider aids. This includes Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC), multiple power modes and a quickshifter. Kawasaki hasn't compromised on the hardware either. Its suspension setup comprises top-notch components while braking is handled by twin discs up front and a single disc at the rear. Its 17-inch wheels come wrapped in Dunlop Sportmax tyres.
When it comes to design, the ZX-25R draws inspiration from the mid-displacement ZX-6R. It features a similar front fascia which comprises a split LED headlight along with fairing-integrated turn indicators. Other notable aspects include an LED taillight and a semi-digital instrument cluster.
