MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR

Italian bike maker, MV Agusta, has revealed an updated version of their naked beauty, the Brutale 800 RR at the ongoing 2016 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. The 2017 model has been updated and gets a more refined engine which will also be Euro IV compliant. Apart from that, the bike now gets visual and electronic updates.

The Italian auto maker has mainly focused towards making the 2017 Brutale 800 RR a more refined bike so that it can meet the Euro IV norms. The 798cc three-cylinder motor has been reworked for more refinement. The bike gets a new cylinder head which now features a harmonic damper, new cams and valve guides and also a new cam-chain tensioner which, as the company claims, will help reduce the engine noise by 50 per cent and will also have lesser vibrations than the current model. The engine also gets a new twin fuel-injector setup for better combustion efficiency, so now, the bike pumps out more power i.e. 142PS and 85Nm of torque.

An on-board diagnostic (OBD) function has also been integrated into the instrument console. In terms of safety, the bike features an eight-level traction control system and Bosch ABS 9 Plus with rear lift mitigation and the braking duties are handled by Brembo, with dual 320mm floating discs which are clamped by four-piston calipers at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear.

Apart from all the updates, the Brutale 800 RR gets a new steering damper which features eight levels of manual adjustments. The front suspension setup includes fully-adjustable 43mm Marzocchi upside down forks which can also be externally adjusted for more or less compression and rebound and fully-adjustable Sachs mono shock does duty at the rear.
