Triumph Motorcycles has taken the wraps off the 2027 Tiger 1200 in India. The latest version of the flagship adventure tourer gets several updates, including a more powerful engine, revised suspension, updated styling and additional rider assistance features. The ADV has been launched in India -- the Tiger 1200 GT Pro is priced from Rs 20,99,000 while the Rally Explorer from Rs 23,49,000 (all ex-showroom).
Here is everything you need to know about the new Triumph Tiger 1200.

The 2027 Triumph Tiger 1200 will be available in two variants: GT Pro and Rally Explorer. Both versions get different colour options and equipment to suit their intended riding purposes.
The road-focused GT Pro will be offered in Sapphire Black and Aluminium Silver/Pacific Blue colour schemes. Meanwhile, the more off-road-oriented Rally Explorer will be available in Ash Grey/Sapphire Black and Matt Khaki Green.
Both variants also get revised styling, along with a new adaptive LED projector headlight that features cornering functionality.

The new Tiger 1200 continues to use the familiar 1,160 cc, liquid-cooled, three-cylinder engine. However, Triumph has revised its internals and gearing to improve performance. The motor now produces 158 PS at 9,250 rpm, which is 8 PS more than before, while the peak torque output remains at 130 Nm at 6,750 rpm.
Triumph has also made changes to the shaft drive system, which is claimed to offer smoother operation. These updates should make the motorcycle an even more capable touring machine.

The 2027 Tiger 1200 gets a revised chassis while retaining its 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel combination. Suspension duties are handled by semi-active Showa EERA Heightflex units, offering 200 mm of travel at both ends.
One of the biggest highlights is the automatic ride-height adjustment function. The system lowers the motorcycle by 30 mm when coming to a stop, making it easier to manage at standstill. Buyers can further reduce the seat height to 790 mm with the optional low seat and adjustable seat mechanism.
For braking, Triumph has equipped the motorcycle with twin front discs featuring Brembo Stylema callipers and a single rear disc.

The new Tiger 1200 gets a seven-inch touchscreen TFT instrument console with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Other convenience features include a cooled smartphone compartment and a USB Type-C charging port.
It also gets front and rear Bosch radar-based rider assistance systems. These include adaptive cruise control, blind-spot assistance, forward collision warning, emergency brake assistance and rear distance warning. Other electronic aids include cornering ABS, traction control and a bi-directional quickshifter.

The GT Pro is designed primarily for road touring and gets alloy wheels along with a 20-litre fuel tank.
The Rally Explorer is the more adventure-focused version. It gets tubeless cross-spoke wheels, a larger 30-litre fuel tank, an additional Off-road Pro riding mode, extra engine protection and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
In terms of weight, the GT Pro tips the scales at 250 kg, while the Rally Explorer weighs 268 kg.
With more power, improved suspension technology and a comprehensive radar-based safety package, the 2027 Tiger 1200 looks like a substantial update. Its two variants also offer different equipment depending on whether riders prefer road touring or off-road adventures. Bookings for the bikes should open soon, but the deliveries are expected to begin around March 2027.
The Tiger 1200 range goes up against the BMW R 1300 GS and the Ducati Multistrada V4. If you've been waiting to get yourself a brand spanking new Tiger, we would suggest checking with the nearest dealer for booking and delivery details. Though, if you do book one, do not thats it's highly unlikely you'll have the new ADV in your garage this Diwali.
