The Government of India recently announced that all motorcycles and scooters under 350cc will now receive a GST price cut, and will be taxed at 18% - down from the current 28%. TVS is one of the brands that benefits the most as all of its products are under the 350cc cap.
So if you have been eyeing a TVS motorcycle for a while, you’re in luck! The bikemaker recently announced that it will pass on the full benefits of the GST price cut to its customers once the new GST 2.0 norms are enforced from September 22, 2025. Here are the top 5 TVS bikes that will receive the biggest price drop after the new GST regulations take place:
-
Apache RTR 310
Expected Price Drop: Rs 24,496

The street naked from the Hosur-based bikemaker will be the motorcycle which will receive the biggest price drop amongst all TVS’ portfolio in India. With the top-end model currently being priced at Rs 3,11,000 (ex-showroom) with 28% GST and 3% cess, after the price drop, expect the model to get cheaper by almost Rs 24,496! This means that the new ex-showroom price of the bike will be Rs 2,86,504 or thereabouts. That’s a great deal in our opinion, considering all the sheer amount of features the bike comes with. It’s a great choice for those who want almost superbike-levels of features in a 300-odd cc streetfighter with decent performance to boot.
-
Apache RR 310
Expected Price Drop: Rs 23,171

The next motorcycle expected to receive the biggest price drop is the Apache RR 310. The RR 310 has the same engine as the RTR 310 but is a full-faired sports bike. The motorcycle’s top variant is currently priced at Rs 2,94,999 (ex-showroom) with the current taxation norms. When the new norms are applied, the model is expected to receive a price cut of around Rs 23,171, bringing the new ex-showroom price to around Rs 2,71,828.
This will not only make the Apache RR 310 a fantastic value-for-money proposition but also create a huge price gap against its nearest rival, the KTM RC 390, which currently costs Rs 3.18 lakh (ex-showroom), and will get even more expensive once the new GST norms kick in as two-wheelers above 350cc attract a flat 40% GST, up from the current 28% GST + 3% cess. The RR 310 is an excellent motorcycle for those who want a do-it-all supersport that can commute, tour, and do track-days with ease.
-
Ronin
Expected Price Drop: Rs 13,533

The TVS Ronin’s top-end model, which is currently priced at Rs 1,73,720 (ex-showroom), is expected to go down by almost Rs 13,533. This means the new ex-showroom price is going to be around Rs 1,60,187. So if you are in the market for a cruiser with a strong mid-range performance, comfortable ergonomics and a smooth engine, we suggest you wait for the new tax revision to come into effect.
-
Apache RTR 200 4V
Expected Price Drop: Rs 12,490

TVS recently launched a new top variant of the Apache RTR 200 4V in India. With a new fascia (*cough* Pulsar *cough*), loads of tech and a lucrative price tag of Rs 1,59,990 (ex-showroom), the motorcycle already seems like a great deal. But after the new taxation norms take place, the bike is expected to get even more affordable by about Rs 12,490! With this, the ex-showroom price will drop to Rs 1,47,500. That’s a great price for a motorcycle with loads of tech and a peppy engine.
-
Apache RTR 160 4V
Expected Price Drop: Rs 11,688

Just like the RTR 200 4V, the younger sibling, the Apache RTR 160 4V, also received an update recently, complete with a similar headlight design. It also gets the same tech as the top-end 200, and is priced at Rs 1,47,990 (ex-showroom). While the bike is fairly affordable in the current tax bracket, its price is expected to come down even further by Rs 11,688 (the new ex-showroom price will be around Rs 1,36,302) after the change in GST norms.
It’s a fantastic commuter that can handle the occasional breakfast rides, and with the new GST savings, you can invest them in riding gear and fuel!
