Hero MotoCorp has launched a special edition of the Hero XPulse 200 4V Pro, called the Dakar Edition. The bike is sold at a price of Rs 1,67,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It pays homage to Ross Branch’s 2nd place finish in the 2024 Dakar rally astride a Hero motorcycle.

The Hero XPulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition stands out thanks to the Dakar-style liveries. It gets a Dakar logo on the tank and beautiful Dakar-inspired graphics on the tank and tail section. Overall, the bike looks really good and stands out from the standard XPulse and XPulse pro.
Other than these cosmetic changes, the bike has similar specifications as the XPulse 200 Pro. It has a telescopic fork with 250mm travel and a monoshock with 220mm travel. The ground clearance comes to 270mm.

It is powered by the same 199.6cc, air and oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine which outputs 18.9PS and 17.35Nm. In terms of features, the bike gets switchable ABS which allows for controlled slides, making the bike more capable offroad.
This special-edition XPulse is a really good addition to the Hero XPulse lineup. It will be a more premium and better off-road capable alternative to people who are looking to get an XPulse 200 4V.

That said, Hero has been working on a new XPulse 210. The bike will get the same 210cc, liquid-cooled engine as the Karizma XMR. The engine will produce 24.8PS and 20.7Nm. The bike also gets a lot more features including a new TFT console, with smartphone connectivity.
The XPulse 210 could be a more powerful alternative to the current XPulse 200, which we believe will be phased out in the coming years.
