The Pulsar range is set to expand with three new products
-
A new bike, likely a touring-focused ADV on the cards
-
A brand new Chetak might also be introduced
Rakesh Sharma, the Executive Director of Bajaj Auto has revealed the brand’s plans for the next year and a half or so in a recent earnings call. During this time period, the brand will be launching 3 new Pulsars, a new sub-brand, and also a new Chetak. Along with this, he also spoke on the upcoming 350cc KTM and Triumph lineup.
Pulsar Maniacs, Rejoice!
Out of the three Pulsars, the first one could be a new 125cc model based on the Bajaj Pulsar N125. If you think about it, the N125 kind of feels the odd one out compared to the Pulsar NS125 and the classic Pulsar 125. It doesn’t really look like the rest of the N-series Pulsars. So Bajaj might bring something fresh but with the N125 as the base for its mechanicals. The brand could likely be using the same engine but give it a different design, and additional features to make it more appealing.

As for the second Pulsar product, the most logical outcome would be a smaller version of the Pulsar NS400Z, with a sub-350cc engine. You see, with GST 2.0 norms, bikes under 350cc have gotten cheaper with the 18% taxation whereas two-wheelers above 350cc will command a flat 40% GST rate. Sure, Bajaj took the brunt of the price hike in the Pulsar NS400Z, but a more permanent solution will be to simply downsize the bike’s engine and give Pulsar fans an affordable, performance-packed Pulsar that’s also in line with the GST regulations.

The third bike might be something entirely different, and Bajaj could really surprise us here. So far there is no information about this upcoming bike, but we have a good feeling about this considering it will be under the Pulsar family (read sporty). These bikes are planned to be launched from December 2025 through March 2026, likely kicking things off with the Pulsar 125.
A Mile-munching Domina(to)r
Bajaj will be launching a new sub-brand by FY27, and according to Rakesh Sharma, it would be something completely new. Now this one isn’t super hard to guess as we all know Bajaj has been the last man out in the ADV race, so we reckon the sub-brand might be for an ADV, using the Bajaj Dominar 400 as a base but in a 350cc guise to take advantage of GST 2.0. Knowing Bajaj, it might keep the price super-competitive, so TVS Apache RTX 300 will have a real reason to worry.
New Chetak
The brand is also working on a new Bajaj Chetak variant, and it will be launched by early 2026. We think it could be the most affordable variant of the Chetak, and could be priced at around Rs 80,000 to Rs 90,000 (ex-showroom). The Chetak has been one of the best-selling electric scooters in India, and with an affordable iteration, Bajaj stands to gain an even bigger market share.
350cc KTMs & Triumphs
Rakesh Sharma has also revealed that the brand has been working on 350cc KTM and Triumph bikes. So we might even get to see a KTM 350 Duke and perhaps even a Triumph Bonneville 350. You see where this is going (read: to evolve along the GST 2.0 impact).

We’re particularly curious about the KTM 350 Duke as it will likely be an India-specific model. Now with Bajaj gaining greater leverage over KTM’s inner workings, we might expect an accelerated development, possibly using the KTM 390 Duke as the base. We reckon it might cost around Rs 2.6 lakh (ex-showroom), neatly slotting between the now-affordable KTM 250 Duke and the premium KTM 390 Duke.
