When Keeway launched three two-wheelers for India, the K-Light 250V, a V-twin cruiser, was the most talked-about model.
Last week, Keeway announced the prices of its scooters, but the company still hasn’t revealed the prices of the K-Light 250V yet.
So we spoke to our sources to get an idea about what these prices could be, and here’s what we expect.
|
City |
Expected On-road price |
|
Bengaluru |
Rs 3.80 lakh |
|
Pune |
Rs 3.70 lakh |
|
Hyderabad |
Rs 3.92 lakh |
|
Delhi |
Rs 3.50 lakh |
|
Chennai |
Rs 3.65 lakh |
Since the scooters carry a tag of Rs 2.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), we expect the cruiser to be priced around the Rs 3.10 lakh (ex-showroom) mark, depending on your choice of colour. If it is priced so, it would make the K-Light 250V quite an expensive proposition, especially given its meagre 18.9PS and 19Nm, despite packing a V-twin engine.
Given its engine configuration, the K-Light 250V finds itself in a spot where it doesn’t have any direct rivals. Its closest rivals are the other small capacity cruisers like the Bajaj Avenger 220 and Royal Enfield Meteor 350.
