Honda Rebel 300

Price: The Honda Rebel 300 has been launched in India. It’s the brand’s smallest cruiser in the country, priced at Rs 2,22,000 for the Standard version, and Rs 2,62,000 for the one with the E-Clutch, both ex-showroom Bengaluru.

Design: The India-made Rebel 300 looks similar to the one sold abroad. It’s got a minimalistic bobber-themed design with fat tyres at both ends, chopped fenders, and simple bodywork along with a swooping peanut tank. All in all, it looks like part of a factory custom.

Features: The motorcycle comes equipped with a TFT console with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. It also gets an all-LED lighting setup with a projector headlight, dual-channel ABS, and Honda's E-Clutch technology, which allows riders to start, stop, and shift gears without operating the clutch lever. Of course, it also gives riders the option to use the clutch manually.

Engine: The Honda Rebel 300 E-Clutch is powered by a 286cc, liquid-cooled engine. While the output figures of the India-spec version are not revealed yet, the one sold abroad makes 30.4PS and 27.4Nm, so expect the figures to be in the same ballpark. It is linked to a 6-speed gearbox.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The Rebel 300 is built on a tubular steel frame and gets a 41mm telescopic front fork along with twin rear shock absorbers. The bike gets disc brakes both for front and rear with dual-channel ABS.

Rivals: The Honda Rebel 300 E-Clutch goes up against the Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350, Jawa 42 Bobber, Jawa Perak, and Yezdi Roadster. However, it will stand out by offering Honda's unique E-Clutch technology, which is currently unavailable in the segment.
