Quick Read:
The Rorr EZ Sigma continues with the same battery, motor and underpinnings as the Rorr EZ
The introductory price is from Rs 1,27,000 for the 3.4kWh variant, and Rs 1,37,000 for the 4.4kWh variant (both ex-showroom)
Comes with a few more features than the Rorr EZ
In a bid to appeal to the Gen-Z crowd, Oben Electric has launched the Rorr EZ Sigma electric motorcycle in India. At first glance, it might look the same as the Rorr EZ, but there are some changes which the new e-bike sports. Let’s have a look.
Get’s a 5-inch TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity (but same info as the EZ)
Gets a dedicated reverse mode
Makes 286Nm at the wheel, which is more than the 277Nm in the EZ
Now gets four refreshed colour schemes: Electric Red (new colour), Photon White, Electro Amber & Surge Cyan
Comes in two battery pack variants: 3.4kWh and 4.4kWh

While the new updates might be few, the addition of a TFT instrument console, more torque and new colour schemes is a welcome change. The TFT will enhance the appeal of the e-bike, while the extra torque might improve the riding experience. As for the colour schemes, although they look the same as the Rorr EZ, the graphics have been tinkered with.
The Rorr EZ comes in three battery pack variants: a 2.6kWh, 3.4kWh and a 4.4kWh. For the Rorr EZ Sigma, Oben has only kept the top two variants, and it also makes sense for them to do so. People want a longer claimed range on their electric vehicle, and keeping a model with a small battery pack just doesn’t work.

Same underpinnings as the Oben Rorr EZ
Same battery capacity with the same claimed range
Similar performance figures
Same features as before
It looks like Oben has kept the Sigma essentially the same as the Rorr EZ, but with some extra features. The suspension, brake and wheels setup, the dimensions, and the performance figures are all completely the same. The claimed top speed of 95kmph, the three ride modes (Eco, City and Havoc) and the claimed acceleration of 0-40kmph in 3.3 seconds are all unchanged as well. Although we would’ve liked an increased claimed range, the 140km on the 3.4kWh and 175km on the 4.4kWh variant are the same!

Oben has launched Rorr EZ Sigma at the right time, as its biggest rival, the Revolt RV series, has been dominating the sales figures. Revolt has sold 6,425 units of the RV series so far this year, while Oben tallies up to 1,632 units. That said, Oben’s sales have been steady in the last few months, and once the brand expands its network significantly, it’ll stand a solid chance against the Revolt as well as the Ola Electric.
The new Rorr EZ Sigma might just help turning the tide in its favour, and with the introductory price. That said, the pricing will later go up to Rs 1,47,000 and Rs 1,55,000 for the 3.4kWh and 4.4kWh variants, respectively.
On paper, the Rorr EZ Sigma is a very competent product, but if you want an electric bike which has better performance, more claimed range, and is from the same manufacturer, the Oben Rorr (priced at Rs 1,49,999 ex-showroom) might just make more sense. Although you will have to sacrifice some features (mainly the TFT console) but it is something you won’t really miss.
