Oben Electric has teased the next generation of its Rorr EZ electric motorcycle, and it’s all set to be launched on August 5, 2025. The teaser, though revealing little in terms of visuals, retains the same silhouette as the motorcycle, which is currently on sale. Oben has hinted in its announcement that it will get better features.

The current Oben Rorr EZ already comes in three variants:  the Rorr EZ 2.6kWh, Rorr EZ 3.4kWh, and the Rorr EZ 4.4kWh. Priced at Rs 99,999, Rs 1,19,999 and Rs 1,29,999 respectively (all prices ex-showroom). It’s an apt electric commuter motorcycle with a decent claimed range, has enough features to keep the geeks entertained and looks different from anything else in the market (in a good way, of course). That said, there are many ways Oben could enhance the overall riding experience of the Rorr EZ. 

Expected Updates

There’s a possibility that the upcoming e-bike could get a larger battery pack, which could result in a longer claimed range, exceeding the current 175km offered by the top variant. If this happens, it would make the Rorr EZ one of the bikes with an impressive claimed range in its price bracket.

Oben might also use this chance to add more connected features and enhance the safety quotient of the bike. The existing Rorr EZ already comes with a digital instrument console and features like geofencing, battery theft alert, and anti-theft alert. We expect the new version to push that envelope even further — maybe with a TFT instrument console, turn-by-turn navigation and sportier riding modes.

Design-wise, while nothing is confirmed yet, the silhouette from the teaser image looks the same as the current e-bike. Although Oben could give it a subtle refresh with new colour schemes to keep things visually updated.

This update also comes at a crucial time when electric motorcycles are slowly gaining pace. The Oben Rorr EZ goes against the likes of Revolt RV1 and the Ola Roadster X in India.
