Aprilia has discontinued the Storm 125 scooter in India. This development takes place just a month after we had reported that the 125cc scooter will be losing its disc variant.
The Storm 125 was the most affordable product in Aprilia’s India lineup with a price tag of Rs 1,11,171 (ex-showroom Delhi). However, the Storm 125 was still pretty expensive for what’s essentially a 125cc scooter. To put things into perspective, its rival, the TVS NTorq 125, which comes packed to the gills with features, retails at Rs 97,061 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the XT variant.
A few dealerships have limited stock of the Storm 125 available and if you are looking to buy the 125cc scooter, you can check with the Aprilia dealerships near you.
Now that the Storm 125 has moved on, the most affordable product in Aprilia’s India lineup at the moment is the SR 125 which retails at Rs 1.21 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Storm 125 was powered by a 124.45cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 9.92PS and 9.60Nm. Its suspension setup comprises a telescopic fork and monoshock and it rolled on 12-inch alloy wheels wrapped with block-pattern tyres.
The Aprilia Storm 125 was the country’s second off-road-themed scooter after the Yamaha RayZR Street Rally. If you are in the market for a sporty 125cc scooter, you can check out the TVS NTorq 125, Suzuki Avenis and Honda Grazia apart from the RayZR.
