The 2025 Honda XL750 Transalp has been launched globally
Gets a revised engine and suspension tune, updated TFT console, among others
Could be launched in India this year itself
Honda has recently launched the 2025 XL750 Transalp globally. The bike receives quite a few crucial updates, including a new retuned engine and suspension, new colour scheme, updated fascia, and a reworked TFT console with even more features.
The Honda XL750 Transalp has always been a handsome-looking motorcycle. While the 2025 version shares the same silhouette, it gets some minor changes. Honda has departed from the single LED headlight unit, and the Transalp now gets a dual-LED setup which looks quite similar to that of its elder sibling, the Africa Twin. The windscreen (non-adjustable) is new too, and has a duct to allow better airflow.
Apart from these changes to the design, the bike now also comes with a new ‘Pearl Deep Mud Grey’ colour scheme, which, in our opinion, looks quite good.
Although the Transalp’s heart- the 755cc, 90PS, 75Nm parallel-twin engine remains unchanged, the bikemaker claims that the 2025 version now has better low and mid-range performance. This is due to a new way of channelling air into the engine. While the suspension setup remains unchanged, Honda claims that they have improved the ride quality by changing the damping settings on the fork to be better at going off-road. The Transalp has also gained some weight (2kg), and now has a kerb weight of 210kg.
The Transalp was never shy when it came to the features, the bike had a TFT console, five riding modes, switchable traction control and ABS modes, and wheelie control. The 2025 version retains the list and gets some extra features.
The TFT console now supports smartphone connectivity via Honda’s RoadSync mobile application, which allows for turn-by-turn navigation, call & SMS alerts, and music control. And to navigate through the console, Honda has also updated the switchgear as it now gets a four-way joystick on the left-hand side switchgear.
While Honda sells the previous iteration of the Transalp at Rs 10,99,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi), we expect the latest version to be launched in India by the end of this year itself. It could command a premium of around Rs 80,000 to Rs 1 lakh over the outgoing version. Once launched, the 2025 XL750 Transalp will go against the likes of Suzuki V-Strom 800DE, BMW F 900 GS and the Triumph Tiger 900 in India.
