Unveiled at EICMA 2022, the Honda XL750 Transalp has now made its way to India. Honda has launched the ADV with a price tag of Rs 10,99,990 (ex-showroom Gurugram) and it will come as CBU (completely built-up) units. It will be sold exclusively through Honda’s BigWing dealerships.
The Transalp moniker made its comeback with the XL750 last year and is powered by the manufacturer’s new 775cc, liquid-cooled, in-line two-cylinder engine producing 91.77PS and 75Nm. It comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. The ADV gets a steel diamond frame and suspension setup includes a 43mm Showa USD fork with 200mm suspension travel and a monoshock with 190mm of wheel travel.

The brake setup includes dual 310mm disc brakes with 2-piston callipers at the front and a single 256mm disc brake at the rear with dual-channel ABS as standard. It gets a 21-inch front wheel and 18-inch rear wheel setup. Features include a 5-inch TFT instrument console with smartphone and voice connectivity, five riding modes (Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel and User) and all-LED lighting among others.

The Honda XL750 Transalp is available in India with two colour schemes: Ross White and Matte Ballistic Black. The Ross White colour scheme with the white, blue and red paint job and the gold spoked wheels is inspired by the original XL600V ADV. We predicted that if Honda would ever bring the Transalp to India, it would be priced around the Rs 11-lakh mark; and now it seems like we’ve managed to predict the ADV’s price tag quite accurately. The pricing for the big ADV, hence, is spot on and it'll now be fun to see how it squares up against its rival, the Suzuki V-Strom 650XT.
