Q. Hello everyone, In my research for third car, I came across Skoda Rapid. Earlier i had a plan to buy a Baleno Alpha Variant after selling my Maruti 800 and Swift 2010. But now, i am interested in going for a more premium car. Anyone over here who can guide me on Skoda Rapid 2018...? Like how it is for daily use. Its maintenance and mileage in city. I would also like to know a user experience on it...of-course in brief form. The on road price of Skoda Rapid in Hyderabad is around 9.30 lacs with a full 4 year free service maintenance. And baleno alpha is coming for me at Rs 8.90 lacs. But all my friends are recommending to go for a Maruti Baleno instead of Skoda as they say it only gives 8 kmpl and is not suitable for office commute.

Baleno is a better product from the Maruti Suzuki stables, for a more robust, safe and premium car I'd suggest the rapid, you can use it for long commutes as well, I drive mine in the city I get around 10 to 12 with AC around 15 to 16 on highways. If short of parking space, just a city car suggest baleno or else rapid for a more luxurious feel

No doubt Rapid is very good car in terms of build quality, engine performance, drive comfort, but major drawback is after warranty service. Very few service stations in NCR and evry time you go for some problem in your car you feel cheated by these so called service stations. I sold my Skoda just because of service issue. Service is pathetic.

I am planning to sell off my 800 and swift. I am getting a good price for my 2002 model Maruti 800 from Carz24. For swift i already have buyers waiting......
